Summary: Andrew get’s an unexpected sight after exiting a Galaxy Quest Convention.
Andrew hummed happily as he exited the new Galaxy Quest Convention. He had never been to one before even though they had been held in Los Angeles. He smiled stupidly; he was so excited. The new cast members had been there! They had been so cool and they had signed his memorabilia.
Andrew was heading to his car but stopped when something odd caught his eye. His Scooby and Watcher training kicked in and he began to sneak over. He paused and blushed. Jane Doe and Fred Kwan were amorously engaged in kissing. He knew he had missed something!
Restarting the Council had left him little time to catch Galaxy Quest and he loved the Laliari-Tech Sergeant Chen romance when he was able to watch but he had no idea they were a real couple! He was going to find a way to get more personal time for himself. He wasn’t as big a loser as he once was but when he could miss such a big thing when the girls could still keep track of all American Idol episodes and gossip wasn’t fair!
He was going to complain to Giles as soon as he got back. Andrew was about to sneak away (and drop off his things before going back in the convention) when something totally not normal happened. Andrew had seen a lot of things but he hadn’t expected purple tentacles to sprout out of Jane Doe!
“Mr. Kwan! Look out!” He yelled heroically as he wondered what demon had taken Jane Doe’s form. God, what if Jane Doe was dead?! Fred Kwan and Tech Sergeant Chen would be heart broken!
“What?” the two broke apart. Jane Doe gave him a bright smile.
“Hello,” She greeted him brightly.
“Mr. Kwan when you two were k-k-kissing,” He blushed. “she sprouted tentacles! She could have the nefarious intentions of eating you or mating and eating you!” He cried.
Kwan looked relieved. “You scared me for a moment. I thought something was really wrong.” He smiled at Jane Doe. “That’s normal. You see kid, Laliari is really an alien. It’s just part of her real form. Nothing to worry about.”
“But…but…” Andrew protested weakly.
“We are about to mate, privacy would be greatly appreciated.” Laliari said.
“What? Oh!” Andrew blushed and stuttered an apology unable to figure out what to do. As he backed out of the alcove and ran to his car he stopped.
Laliari wasn’t a demon. She was an alien! “I have an autograph from a real alien.” He squealed. “That’s so cool!” Even if no one would believe him. As some inhuman sound reached him he thought it was a good time to leave.
