That darn cat

Disclaimer: I own neither BtVS, nor Supernatural. One is Whedon's, the other Kripke's.
Crossing: BtVS/ Supernatural. Beware, slight OOCness, because Dean would never leave two hot chicks alone in the woods.

"I totally had that under control!"

"He was two seconds from tearing your throat out!"

"It was all a part of my plan!"

"To what? Join Oz in Tibet?"

"You can be so – so – arrgh!"

Dean watched, bemused, as two women stumbled out of the woods, one dragging a rather large bag behind her. He didn't set down his gun – appearances could be deceiving after all – but he did allow the barrel to point more towards the ground.

"You ladies need any help?"

The two swung to face him, instantly falling into what he recognized as well-trained fighting stances. Seeing he was human, they relaxed a bit. Seeing that he was holding a gun they tensed up even more.

"Whatcha got there?" he asked walking forward and indicating the large bag that the short blonde was holding the strap to. Now that they were closer, he could see that it was easily as large as she was.

"…Nothing. Um. There was a cat."

"Our cat," the brunette added.

"And it – it got out."

"And then it found another cat."

"And they fought – "

"And so you stuck 'em in a sack?" Dean snorted, "Not buyin' it, ladies."

"That cat story never works," the brunette hissed.

"I didn't hear you jumping in to explain," the blonde shot back.

"Excuse me?" Dean had caught sight of the knives strapped to the blonde's thighs.

"Why are the cats always fighting? And why is it always a cat?"

"Seriously? You want to have this discussion now?"

"Excuse me!"

Both women turned to look at him.

"You coulda just said you were hunters." He indicated the sack with a tilt of his head, "Werewolf?"

"Um. Yeah?"

"'Kay." He nodded to each of them in turn and headed back to his car.

Dawn waited until the guy with the gun had gotten into his car and driven off before turning to her sister, smirking. "Oh my god, Buffy. Hot guy in the know? You are so gonna end up dating him."

"Am not!"

"Fifty-fifty he ends up evil."

"He seemed perfectly nice… and he was pretty hot…"
