Dawn Summers/Lily Evans
I do not own Harry Potter or Buffy the Vampire Slayer or anything related to them.
“Please,” the red-headed woman had begged. “Don’t let him go to my sister’s.” Lily Evans was three years older than Dawn, and one of the Slayers that had been called when Willow did the spell. Then she heard a prophecy concerning her son. And she knew, somehow, that she wouldn’t survive.
“I did a spell on him. It’ll look like a blood protection spell, meaning Dumbledore will send him to my sister. But it’s not a blood protection spell, it’s an energy protection spell,” Lily said.
“My energy,” Dawn whispered. Lily had asked for a small bit of the essence of the Key. ‘Purely for research into a protection spell,’ she had said.
“Yes, I’m sorry, but when I heard the prophecy I panicked. I had to protect him,” Lily said.
“Don’t worry, Lily,” Dawn said, after a moment of silence. “I’ll have someone watch the house. The moment Harry is placed in the Dursley’s care, they’ll remove him and bring him to me.”
“Thank you,” Lily said.
It was the last time Dawn Summers saw Lily Evans-Potter alive.
