Shits and Giggles
Disclaimer: I don't own anything Buffy, Supernatural, or Twilight. The character Brea is all mine.
You ever get the feeling someone is trying to get into your head? Even though I was in the state of being in between sleep and awareness, I could feel the sensation of someone trying to open their mind to mine. The more I tried to ignore it, the more nagging it became. I mentally sighed as I realized who it could be.
M: What can I do ya for Dawn?
D: Quick question, Sam’s an easygoing guy right?
M: Definitely, but I should warn you that there will be retaliation in the near future.
D: Crap, really?
M: Replacing boredom with pranks is kinda their thing.
D: Dammit, I wonder why Dean didn’t say anything or warn me.
M: Maybe because he loves to pull pranks more than anybody I know
D: Double Crap
Deciding that now was probably the best time to sneak a peek at what was going on, I slowly started to open my eyes. I had to cover my mouth to keep from bursting out laughing at the sight of Sam. I didn’t know what to focus on first, the fact that his hair was now sporting tiny braids or the overdone job of the make-up on his face. Taking a second to get my bearings, I noticed that we had stopped to get gas. Throwing a wink Dawn’s way, I reached forward and starting shaking on Sam’s shoulders.
“Sam, wakey wakey, hands of snakey.” I sang cheerfully. Dawn started giggling and I threw her a look to get her to be quiet. Sam shot straight up, causing Dawn to throw her hand over her mouth. When he turned to look back at me, I almost lost control. Not that Dawn did that bad of a job, hell she made it worse. He actually looked kind of hot. Fighting to keep the smile off my face, I decided to pay Sam back for his last prank.
“Hey, we’ve stopped, do you need to relieve yourself? I looked at him with what I hoped passed as concerned. He looked around dazed and confused.
“Huh, Oh yea. Thanks for waking me.” He staggered out of the car a little bit, still half asleep. As soon as the door shut, Dawn and I let it all out and laughed our asses off. We were laughing so hard, we actually woke Buffy up.
“What the hell is so funny guys?” She straightened up, wiping the drool of her cheek and chin. Fighting for breath, I answered her the best I could.
“Dawn.....Sam....make-up.......went in gas station.....” Putting my arms around myself, I calmed down a little to get a look at Buffy’s reaction. Before she could even think about it, I jumped up into the front seat to get a closer look I heard the drivers side door open, signaling Dean was getting back into the car. I kept my gaze forward, even though my body tingled with his closeness.
“I’m guessing you’re the one that sent him to his fate?” He said with humor lacing through his voice. I shivered at the feel of his breath on the back of my neck. God, why do I let him make me feel this way?
“I figured this will teach him a lesson not to use my lipstick again for pulling a prank on you.” Just then I saw Sam walking out the door wearing a very confused look. I slid across the seat to allow Sam room as he got in. Which of course brought my thighs extremely close to Dean’s. Shit bad idea, but might as well. I glanced over at Sam and noticed a piece of paper in his hand, with what looked like a phone number scrawled on it.
“I think the guy at the register just hit on me.” He mumbled out. That was all it took for us girls to lose it. Buffy scrambled out the drivers side door yelling out bathroom as she went. Catching on, Sam flipped down his visor, and stared slack jawed at his reflection. Not wanting to miss out on this moment, I pulled my phone out and snapped a quick pic. Snapping out of his daze, Sam shot me a glare.
“The moment was to precious, I needed a reminder of this happy day.” I giggled as Sam got out, and ran back into the gas station. I went to put my phone back in my pocket, and of course it started ringing. I glanced down at the caller id, and hurriedly answered it.
“Charlie, what’s going on...........Yeah, we’ll be there in a couple of days........I’ve got some other friends coming to help........Don’t worry they’re good people, they can really help us if need be........Ok, we’ll see you soon....Bye.” I saw Buffy and Sam heading back to the car, so I slowly climbed back into the backseat.
D: Oh my God Mac, Dean is totally checking you out right now.
Dawn nodded her head, so I wiggled my ass a little bit. I heard a choking noise coming from Dean as I plopped down into the seat.
D: Wow, that was so evil and awesome at the same time. He totally loved that.
I felt my heart beating fast, as I glanced up and saw Dean looking at me in the rear view mirror. Sam opened the door for Buffy, who slid in next to Dawn. As Dean started the car, Sam turned around and shot a glare at me.
“What?” I asked innocently. I mean really, every time something happens to him, he wants to blame me. Granted I have messed with him a lot, but he shouldn’t just assume I do everything.
“Hey, the only thing I did was wake you up.” I shrugged my shoulders, as he raised an eyebrow at me. Sam then turned his attention to Dawn, who I must say was pulling off the sweet and innocent look really good. Sam said nothing to her, just got a little smirk and turned back around. Dawn shot me a look, I just smiled and mouthed to her Watch your back. We all settled back into our usual banter, and Dean turned on some music. About thirty minutes later, I saw the telltale signs that we were pulling into Bobby’s Salvage Yard. Dawn gasped as we pulled to a stop.
“Mac, isn’t that Angus?” Hearing that her voice held a little shock, I peered around Buffy to get a look at my baby. Rage shot through me, and I got out of the car before anyone could stop me. I stalked towards the house with only one thought going through my head. I’m going to kill him, and slowly. Somewhere behind me I heard Dean asking Dawn who Angus was. I walked up onto the front porch and opened the door without bothering to knock.
“Bobby?” I yelled out, my voice shaking with anger. I heard someone moving around in the kitchen, and headed in that direction. Standing there on the other side of the room was the culprit. He was looking very guilty, and a little scared. Good he should be.
Meanwhile outside..................... Buffy POV
I watched Mac storm into the house, and I felt bad for whoever pissed her off. One thing I’ve learned in the whole time I’ve known her, is that you never mess with her baby. Walking over to it, my sharp eyes tried to see what set her off.
“Is that a bullet hole?” Dean asked as he stepped up beside me. I looked to where he was pointing at, and gasped as I saw that he was right. Oh boy, this does not bode well for whoever did that. We all looked over towards the house, as shouting filled the night air.
“Well if you would’ve shot the damn thing before it got near my car, we wouldn’t be in this situation.” Mac yelled furiously. We could hear a muffled reply, that almost sounded like a plea. We were getting ready to walk into the house, when Mac stormed out. She made a beeline for her car, going over and caressing it like it was an actual baby. I shook my head at her fascination with it. Each to their own I guess. The banging of the screen door snapped all of our attention towards the front door, and the man that just stepped through it. Huh, he looks very familiar.
“Dad?” Sam’s shocked voice said quietly, though suddenly quite loud in the night. I shot a glance at Dawn and mouthed the word Dad as my eyebrow shot up. She looked surprised too, and shrugged her shoulders at me.
“Can someone please tell me what the hell is going on?” Dean shot out, then looked over at Mac, “and exactly how do you two know each other?” Mac acted like she wasn’t paying attention, but I could tell by the tension in her body that she was fully aware of the situation. I was extremely confused by the whole thing. Like, how does Mac know the brothers’ dad, and why don’t they know about it. I glanced at their dad, and suddenly realized why he looked familiar. He looked like Sam in about 20 years, with just a hint of Dean. Then I saw how he was standing. Definitely like father like son, same cocky attitude and a warriors stance. His eyes fell over towards Mac.
“We’ll talk about this later girly,” he looked towards the boys,” let’s take this into the house for a little privacy.” Dean took a last look towards Mac, who was still looking intently at her car, and followed his brother and dad into the house.
I winced a little as I heard the door slam shut. Damn it, I should have kept pestering John to tell them the truth. To at least call them and let them know he was alive and okay. But noooo, I had to be all honorable and loyal to a man I’ve known longer than the boy’s, and considered him an older brother. No matter what I told myself though, it doesn’t even compare to the betrayal I felt in my heart concerning Dean. I felt like my heart was about to explode, and I crossed my arms around myself. I felt like my whole world was crumbling down around me, and there was nothing I could do to stop the tears that rushed down my face. I’ve done the ultimate betrayal, and lied this whole time to the man that I love. Yes, I admit to it. I’ve been in love with Dean from the first time that I saw him. The moment his hand had touched mine, and I felt that electric shock go through my system. I knew that I had found my soul mate. Oh God, why did I let John convince me to keep this secret from my boys’? I felt two pairs of arms go around me, and looked up at the concerned face of Buffy and Dawn.
“Brea, honey, are you okay?” Buffy asked, worry radiating from her very aura. I slowly straightened up, though I could feel my legs trembling waiting to fall.
I’ll be fine, why don’t you guys head into the house and get in on the discussion. Tell John I said you could be there for it.
“Are you sure?” I could hear the doubt in Dawn’s voice. I nodded my head at both of them. I watched as they walked into the house, and I slipped into my car as quietly as I could. I had a million thoughts running through my head, and totally missed somebody sneaking into the car with me. A cool hand on my arm brought my eyes up to meet the worried gaze of Dawn. I gave her a little smile, and looked around to see if she was followed out.
“Don’t worry nobody’s with me, they’re too busy in there arguing.”
