“Give me my key!” the skanky looking blonde demanded, she grabbed Buffy by the throat and her grip almost crushed the Slayer’s windpipe.

Fumbling for her weapon, Buffy was startled when a strange flash lit up nearly blinding her. She felt something in her hands. It was strangely shaped, glancing briefly at the object in her hands she blinked back her surprise. And then she smirked. “You want your key?” she asked.

“Oh, so you’re finally going to be smart about this?” the woman asked with a dark smirk.

“Nah, I just thought if you want a key so bad why not take this one,” Buffy replied. Twisting the object in her hand she brought it up, it struck the woman in the face, and actually knocked her back several feet. Not only that, it cut a long gash across her cheek leaving a streak of blood.

Touching the blood with one well-manicured finger, the woman’s face darkened with rage. “Bitch,” she hissed. Her eyes landed on the object in Buffy’s hand, she stared in shock at the object, she recognized it immediately. “Impossible.”

Buffy grinned. “I don’t know what this thing is supposed to be, but I can hurt you now, care to take me on now that the playing field is even?”

The woman glowered at her. “You have no idea what that is, yet you manage to wield it, damn you. All I want to do is go home, but…” Here her gaze took on a calculating expression. “Any key will do in a pinch, fine you can keep my key, but only if you give me that one.” She indicated the large key in Buffy’s hand.

Buffy eyed her warily, something about what she had asked filled her with a sense of dread. “I don’t think so.”

The woman snarled at her. “Fine, then come with me,” she insisted. Before Buffy could react, the woman grabbed her by the shoulder and did something with her free hand, both of them vanished from the street appearing in front of Sunnydale High’s burnt out remains.

Buffy couldn’t pull out of her grip, but she didn’t like what was happening here, she also wanted to know how the woman did that trick. “What’s the what?” she demanded.

The woman chuckled. “You’ll see.”

Buffy’s attention was drawn suddenly by an eerie glow, a massive ethereal keyhole materialized above the Hellmouth, Buffy knew it was above the Hellmouth, because she’d spent enough time around it to know where it was. She couldn’t control her arm anymore, the key thing raised up of its own accord, and a beam of light shot out of the tip. There was a click.

The woman smiled triumphantly. “Perfect, well so long little, whore,” she said. Approaching the glowing keyhole, she raised her hand up to touch it, took another step forward and was consumed by shadowy tendrils. She screamed in sudden pain.

Buffy watched as a giant shadow formed apparition rose up near the keyhole, it didn’t have a face, but it did have eyes. Wispy shadowy hair, and a massive empty heart shaped hole in its’ chest. “This can’t be good.”

“You must defeat the Darkside,” a mysterious voice whispered in her head.

“What?” she asked, turning around she tried to find the source of the voice, to little avail.

“Defeat it before it claims the heart of your world,” the voice insisted.

Buffy didn’t know what that meant, but she had a feeling it wasn’t a very good thing, with a determined expression she gripped the key thing tighter. The creature, a Darkside, apparently, reached out with a massive hand. A shadowy pool formed at its’ feet, Buffy didn’t like this, leaping forward she swung the key.

It struck the creature in the wrist, and the pool of shadows faded, but more creatures appeared. Small looking shadow things with twitchy antennas on its’ head. Buffy swung at them as they swarmed her, her key destroyed them, turning them into wispy shadowy tendrils that slowly faded away.

Darkside fell to its’ knees, his chest began to glow with energy, Buffy rushed it, swinging her key left and right. The tip struck the beast several times, but a rain of energy balls exploded from the build up of energy in its’ chest. Buffy dodged and weaved, trying to avoid it, she managed, though just barely.

Suddenly a well-manicured hand struck from the keyhole, a very large well manicured hand. Darkside vanished, exploding into the same wispy shadow tendrils. Struggling out of the keyhole, the woman re-appeared, except she wasn’t human anymore.

Her chest was tightly encircled in a black and red bodice, which resembled a very curious looking symbol. Her body had changed colors too, she was dark orange in skin tones, with flowing white hair.

“Stupid Heartless, thought they could claim my powers, all they did was unlock my reserves.” She laughed cruelly, her gaze fell on Buffy. “So, it looks like I can’t go home unless I kill you, well in that case.”

Buffy was feeling somewhat lost. She also wasn’t sure if she could take this, woman, thing. “I think I’m biting off more than I can chew, even for a Slayer,” she muttered.

“This world is now connected,” the same mysterious voice remarked.

Buffy once again tried to find the source. “Connected, to what?”

“The darkness, the light, nothingness and everything at once,” the voice replied.

Buffy blinked. “Talk about cryptic,” she complained.

“Time for you to die now,” the strange woman stated. Before either of them could move, a large ornate door appeared between them.

“Now is not the time, you are not ready to defeat her, and restore your world’s order. You will need many new skills, some that you can only master through understanding the Keyblade.”

Buffy took a step back, she held the key up and studied it, now at least she knew what it was supposed to be. “A key blade?” she repeated. “Neat.” A sudden wind whipped Buffy’s hair around, she brought her attention back to her surroundings, the door had opened. She began to lose her footing, with a sudden shocked cry of surprise, she found herself pulled through the door.

“Oh no way, you aren’t getting away from me that easily!” the woman cried. Slamming a fist into the sealed door, she forced it open and tried to get through. Instead she was pushed backwards, and with a frustrated snarl she was shoved back into the keyhole.

A short looking person, dressed in a flowing dark robe appeared, pulling the hood back he revealed two perfectly round ears. “This was unexpected, I’d better tell Riku, she’ll need some help with that Keyblade.” Sighing, King Mickey opened a pathway between worlds, similar to those of the Organization he could travel now using the pathways of darkness between worlds. Hopefully, Buffy would be able to master the skills of the Keyblade, because a Heartless Glorificus was definitely something the rest of the worlds weren’t ready for.
