Author's Note: So, my Creative Writing teacher came up with the very original idea of putting a pop-culture character in a new setting...I think I can work with that.

Out of Place
He bought the ticket online
he used Hank's card
the Beast won't notice that charge
He only decided to go
after everyone else decided no.
They'll think he's at a bar
drinking German beer
eating a rare steak
smoking a fat cigar.
They wouldn't understand this gentle show
The dancers spin and fly
A grace he shows in battle alone
they show in their pointed toes
plies and pirouettes.
No one notices the short man
with tufted hair and a line-backer build.
No one notices the way the chair
groaned under a weight he doesn't show.
No one looks for a mutant at the ballet.
No one thinks a Wolverine would visit Swan Lake.
