An Interesting Diversion
Fuming, Angelus trampled his way in fury after his encounter with Xander Harris. “How can that pathetic punk, that sniveling weasel stand up to me, when he couldn’t even fight his way out of a paper bag? Well, I’ll give him this; he’s got guts, though soon if I have my way they’ll be hanging in front of him while I destroy Buffy and all she holds dear," he said out loud to no one in particular but himself. "Soon," he muses, "Acathla will rain hellfire over all this land and it will be no more; no more Buffy, nothing. "
Though she has been an interesting diversion, a fighting fly caught in my web, “Yes fight my beauty, fight harder!” he says laughing hard; a mere diversion indeed, but nothing more than that. He cannot let her, or even Spike or Drusilla turn his plan asunder. This is his New World, his epic tide of torment, his vision of disaster and will not let it be denied. Hmm…speaking of diversions, I could use a little pick me up, (does talking to myself mean I am crazy? Cause if so, I like it!) what say we go torment Buffy’s friends some more, maybe a little snack first. To drink the nectar of life and feel the power drain from them, intoxicating… my kind of night, yes this is my kind of night, that kind that nightmares are made of.
“Hmm…so this is an alternate universe you say? “Daniel Jackson newly ascended being said to one Oma Desala. “Why show me this if I can do nothing to prevent it?”
She replied. “Indeed Daniel, I feel your pain, and I share it deeply; I show you this for that very reason. We can’t touch the lives in that universe directly in any case but we have vowed to do no less that then the same in our own universe, so we feel this terror of not acting when we need to every day. But it is in that need we find that the beings of the universe rise to the challenge. That is why I bring you here, to see that even in your absence, the fight still goes on. “
“I understand Oma, doesn’t mean I like it, but I understand. “ He spoke warily.
“I expect nothing less, nothing less indeed. “ Oma answered as they faded away.
