The Mirror

Author's Note: I do not own Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Firefly, they belong to Joss Whedon

Hi this is my first story and I appreciate any and all feedback. If anybody is interested say so in a review and I'll continue this plot. I have a few ideas already sketched out so if there is interest updates should be fairly quick.

Simon started at the face that was not his in the mirror. Instead there was a young woman of maybe twenty with long dark hair and dark, deep set eyes. He blinked but the image did not vanish.

“I must be hallucinating…” he muttered as the woman in the mirror winked at him saucily.

She breathed on the mirror fogging it up and obscuring her face. Slowly and cautiously Simon reached out and tried to clear the fog away.
Nothing happened. Words began to appear, written backwards as if on the other side of a window.

‘I’m real. My name is Faith, and I’m supposed to tell you what to do about your Slayer, little watcher,’

There were enough words that Simon caught a glimpse of her face before she fogged the mirror again.

‘But not for a little while yet,’

Then the mirror cleared Simon was left staring wide eyed at his own pole-axed face.

“Huh…” he puffed articulately.
