Call To Arms

Chapter Four

Call To Arms

“I still don’t know why you guys think I know this Dawn girl.” Xander said as Giles walked Xander to the Summers residence.

“Perhaps your memory was effected by that blow you took crashing into your own coffee table.” Giles suggested.

“Just don’t tell Joyce or Buffy.” Xander said. “If you guys aren’t pulling my leg on this one, I don’t need two Summers women upset with me.”

Giles knocked on the door and it opened revealing a girl that Xander did not recognize but fortunately he schooled his reaction so that it wasn’t obvious. She smiled at him.

“Hey Xander, it’s great to see you again.” She said. “How was Metropolis? See Superman?”

“Metropolis was great. I didn’t see Superman in person, only on the news.” He said.

“Cool.” She replied gesturing them inside. “Mom’s making pancakes.”

Giles and Xander entered the house with Xander having a perplexed look on his face. Buffy smiled at the two of them when they saw her. Xander walked into the kitchen to see Joyce. Everyone seemed to be acting as though everything was normal but Xander felt as though he had just landed in an episode of the Twilight Zone. He began to walk out of the kitchen only to be stopped by Buffy.

“Xander, are you leaving?” She asked. “You just got here.”
“Yah, sorry.” Xander replied. “I’ve got to go.”

He said his goodbyes and left Casa de Summers as quickly as he could. Once he was sure he was out of sight, he transformed his clothes into his uniform and flew into the air. He was flying away from Sunnydale when he realized he had no idea who to ask. Xander didn’t want to bother John as he was with Katma right now. He didn’t know anyone besides Willow and Giles who would know how to mystically pull a ‘cut’ and ‘paste’ job like this one.

“You’re not Kyle.” A voice from behind him said.

Xander realized how much he hadn’t been paying attention to his surroundings as he realized where he had landed to sit and think. Sitting on top of the Golden Gate Bridge was kind of cool when he thought about it but seeing the blonde-haired beauty in the air was a wonderful sight to behold. The girl wore a red shirt with the Wonder Woman symbol on it and blue jeans. With a lasso fastened to her jeans, the girl seemed familiar to him but he couldn’t exactly place a name to her yet.

“No, I’m not.” Xander said. “Kyle is probably reuniting Jenny with her father right now.”

The girl’s face shown her confusion. “Wait, isn’t she dead?” She asked.

“Was until yesterday.” Xander replied.

“What happened yesterday?” She asked curious.

“I ran into an omnipotent being who likes me and then had me play a game with resurrections as the prizes.” Xander said. “It wasn’t a pleasant game to play but I did win. I ended up bringing three people back from the dead.”

“Oh.” She said before a look of realization could be seen. “I never introduced myself because I though you might know of me at least. I’m Wonder Girl but my real name is Cassandra Sandsmark but you can call me Cassie.”

Xander smiled. “That’s why you look familiar.” He replied. “Xander Harris, nice to meet you.”

Cassie sat down next to him. “You seem troubled.” She said.

“Ever have much experience with the supernatural?” He asked.

Cassie laughed at the question. “Oh, I don’t know.” She said. “My dad is Zeus.”

“Zeus, as in father of Apollo; of Mount Olympus; don’t fuck with him or he’ll shove a lightning bolt of my ass, Zeus.” He said getting a nod from her. “Okay, I think somebody or some group managed to insert a person into my friend’s family as well as other people. This is major as memories were altered and from what I’ve seen, physical proof of her existence has been added.”

Cassie’s eyes widened. “If that’s true, then shouldn’t you be effected by it as well?” She asked.

“I’m sure that the mental shields I had to make during my training may have helped protect me from the spell.” Xander said. “That and the fact I was in another dimension in which I won three random resurrections playing some game with some being calling himself the Shadow Master. Talk about a 1950s B-Movie character name.”

Cassie laughed at the comment. She was about to respond when her communicator began to ring and she quickly answered it.

“Static, what’s up?” She asked.

“Somebody’s breaking into San Francisco’s largest jewelry store again.” He said as if he was bored. “I’m stuck on monitor duty while the others are dealing with a situation in LA.”

“I’ll be right there.” She said closing the communicator. “Hey, do you want to come with?”

“Sure.” He replied with a smile.

“What do you tink you are doing?” Kendra asked.

Night had fallen in Sunnydale and Faith had been getting restless. The Slayer had tried to get out of the house but her predecessor had stopped her. Faith seemed to be pouting which was kind of funny with the large battleaxe she was holding.

“Come on, Kendra.” Faith said pleading with her sister Slayer. “Don’t you want to go out there and kill some vamps?”

“We should do as Xander says.” Kendra informed her. “He is a Green Lantern and deserves our respect.”

“Look, I know that you feel indebted to the Xan-Man cuz he brought you back from the dead and all but don’t you want to go out and save some lives?” Faith asked. “We’re Slayers. We should be out there.”

“And if we’re spotted by Buffy?” Kendra asked. “She will find it wiggy as she might say.”

“We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.” Faith said.

They got their equipment and headed out the door. It didn’t take them long to reach a graveyard before they were attacked by vampires. Faith was glad that prison hadn’t ruined her skills and looked over at Kendra as the newly resurrected Slayer’s skills weren’t diminished either.

“What the hell?!” Buffy exclaimed coming from around a crypt.

“Fuck me running with a ten foot pole!” Faith exclaimed back at the other Slayer.

Buffy had been patrolling alone this night because Willow had a date with Tara. Giles had seemed preoccupied with something so she went it alone tonight. Strangely, her mom had seemed more at ease with her patrolling since Xander had returned. She hadn’t realized why but she was shocked to see Faith and Kendra in the same place.

“How can you two even be here?” She asked demanding an answer. “You’re dead and you should be in prison.”

“I got better.” Kendra said smiling weakly using similar words that Buffy had said to her a few years ago.

“I got parole.” Faith said smiling. It was always fun messing with the elder Slayer.

“You are going back to jail, Faith.” Buffy said getting ready to battle before being surprised that Kendra was acting as though she was going to defend Faith from her. “What are you doing, Kendra?”

“Xander would be upset if anything happened to Faith.” Kendra informed her.

“Xander had something to due with you being brought back to life.” Buffy said before turning to Faith. “Let me guess, Xander had something to do with you being out now?”

“One of his bosses pulled a few strings.” Faith said.

Not like I’m lying to you. Faith thought. I’m just not going to try to piss off someone with the most powerful weapon in the entire freaking universe as a piece of jewelry.

“Who is Xander working for anyway?” Buffy asked. “Willow and I are worried about him.”

Buffy was surprised when both of her sister Slayers erupted into laughing fits. While it didn’t seem strange to see Faith laughing, it seemed alien to have thought that Kendra could laugh. When they finished laughing, Kendra looked over towards Buffy.

“I would be very worried if something was able to beat Xander.” Kendra said.

“If something beat Xander, I’m headed for the hills and call in the Justice League.” Faith replied still chuckling. “I am so not going to fight it.”

The conversation was confusing Buffy who threw her hands into the air.

“What in the hell are you two talking about?” She asked. “You’re acting as though Xander was a superhero for crying out loud.”

While Faith was good at schooling her reactions to appear as though she wasn’t surprised, Kendra was not so lucky. Her look of surprise caused Buffy’s eyes to widen.

“OH MY GOD!” Buffy exclaimed. “He’s not who I think he is. I’m going to kill him.”

“No, you’re not.” Faith said. “Let’s go to your mom’s house and I’ll call Xander over. Hopefully, he won’t be mad.”

Xander had a sense of foreboding as he headed for Casa de Summers. He liked the idea that the call from Joyce’s house had managed to get him away from Titans Tower as he and Wonder Girl had returned there. It wasn’t the fact that he was nervous about being at the Tower. It was the fact that Cassie’s mom had been visiting. Unfortunately, his departure meant he couldn’t talk to the magical member of Cassie’s team. He landed down the street and reverted back to civilian form. He wasn’t ready to reveal his identity yet but before he could knock on the door, Buffy opened it swiftly and dragged him inside slamming him against a wall.

“Buffy, what’s up?” Xander asked as if he wasn’t worried by Buffy’s aggressive actions. He noticed that Willow, Tara, Joyce, Faith, and Kendra were there as well. “Faith, I can’t believe this. I leave town for a few hours and you sneak out with Kendra.”

Kendra seemed a bit hurt but Willow leapt to her defense.

“Don’t you dare turn this back on the psycho and the no longer dearly departed.” She exclaimed. “How are you responsible for them being here?”

“Magnetic personality.” Xander answered smiling getting a laugh out of Kendra.

“We’re being serious.” Buffy said. “You could get hurt.”

“I could get hurt walking down any street. This is my life and I’m making my own choices.” He replied. “What I do isn’t your business.”

“If you get hurt, it’s my business.” Buffy said. “We’re friends.”

“Funny, friends don’t tell friends that they’re useless.” Xander replied. “You were too thrilled at the idea I wouldn’t be in Sunnydale for a few months and a series of events caused me to extend my time outside of Sunnyhell.”

Kendra looked angry at Buffy and Willow. “How could you say something like dat to him?” She asked. “He is a powerful force of good and not your puppet.”

Buffy released Xander as she and Willow stared at Kendra as if the girl had three heads. Faith, Xander, and Joyce couldn’t believe that Kendra had said it either. The silence was broken when a bleached blonde vampire walked into the house.

“Am I missing something?” Spike asked before Xander began to laugh. “What’s so funny?”

“I was going to keep this a secret but I can’t resist.” Xander said before being engulfed in a bright green light.

When the light faded, Buffy and Willow were shocked to see their male friend clad in the uniform of a Green Lantern. Spike simply fainted when he saw Xander and fell to the floor. The initial shock wore off and Willow smacked Xander in the back of the head. Grabbing his head in what looked like pain, he glared at his friend.

“What was that for?” He asked.

“When were you going to tell anyone...” Willow began to ask him before she noticed that Faith, Joyce, and Kendra weren’t surprised. “Who else knows?”

“G-Man, Cordelia, Angel, and Wesley.” Xander said. “Giles knows because I came here after what happened in New York...”

He noticed that Tara’s eyes seemed to light up. She ran over and hugged him tightly to the surprise of the people there.

“Tara, why are you hugging Xander?” Willow asked her girlfriend.

“He saved my life.” Tara replied.

About One Year Ago...

It had been a day or so since the events in New York City and travel was allowed to assume once again which was why Tara sat dozing out the window of the Greyhound bus. She was glad to be out on her own but the feeling soon evaporated as the bus shook violently. Seeing a yellow energy stream impact the bridge, everyone on board let out a scream of panic when they felt the bus shake from the impact. A Sinestro Corpsman of a species that no one would have recognized though it was humanoid ripped the roof off of the bus and glared at the terrified people within it.

“I need a hostage.” He said.

His eyes darted over to Tara and he eclipsed her in a yellow sphere. She shook in fear as the sphere began to lift her into the air and started to take her away from the bus. Tara could see a second figure that might have been a humanlike Green Lantern streak towards the Sinestro that was holding her captive. The male Green Lantern, despite the fact he didn’t seem to have a Lantern badge on his chest, created an assault rifle construct and shot the Sinestro Corpsman in the shoulder. The pain caused the Sinestro to lose concentration and his own construct that held Tara dissolved.

Personally, she was thanking whatever deity that had been watching over her that she hadn’t been far from the ground otherwise the fall could have hurt. She looked back up to see the Green Lantern battle her would be kidnapper. The Sinestro fired a blast of yellow energy at the Lantern who dodged as he got closer and delivered an uppercut with his ring hand. A green flash of light coming from the ring seemed to amplify the strike as the Sinestro’s jaw seemed to be visibly broken.

A crowd of people gathered and they cheered the Green Lantern on. Her ability to sense auras began to give her a headache as the greens and blues she was seeing were almost blinding. Everyone knew that green was the color of willpower and that yellow was the color of fear. From the books she had been able to find after her mother died, she knew that the blue meant hope. The people were hoping the Green Lantern would win and some seemed to be trying to add their willpower to his own. Hurling green buzz saw constructs, the Green Lantern managed to decapitate the Sinestro.

A look of surprise could be seen on Xander’s face and he pointed a finger at Tara.

“That was you?” He asked. “I’m glad to see you’re okay.”

“I’m glad too.” Tara said. “I guess this explains why your aura is so green.”

“You could see my aura?” Xander asked. “Cool.”

“Give me the ring.” Buffy ordered only to get a laugh out of Xander for a response. “I’m serious. You could get hurt.”

“No, I chose this and there is nothing that is going to make me regret this.” Xander said before realizing he just taunted Murphy. “Oh shit.”

A yellow energy construct claw ripped through the door, grabbed the Green Lantern, and hurled him outside. After he pulled himself off the ground, he saw Drazor clad in the uniform of the Sinestro Corps. He let out a sigh.

“That didn’t take you very long, did it?” Xander asked. “How does it feel betraying Rozix’s memory like you’re doing, Drazor?”

“Do I look like I care what you think, human?” Drazor asked firing another blast of energy from his ring which Xander shielded. “All I want is your death.”

Drazor flew down to the ground and laughed. He pointed his ring at Xander.

“Good bye, Harris.” He said.

His attack never came as Faith used her battleaxe to embed the weapon in the reptile’s head. Drazor fell down as Xander quickly destroyed the yellow power ring.

“Congratulations Faith, you now have the honor of managing to kill a member of the Sinestro Corps while not being a Green Lantern by utilizing my Thanagarian Battleaxe which I’m trying to figure out how you got a hold of in the first place since I locked it up.” Xander said. “Thank you by the way.”

“No prob, your lock sucked.” Faith replied.

“Once a murderer, always a murderer.” Buffy said making Faith spin around to face her. “What’s your problem?”

“I’d rather have had to kill the evil alien alligator guy than let him kill Xander.” Faith said bringing the axe back up. “Besides, wouldn’t you have done the same for your friend?”

“Xander is my friend despite the hair brained thing he has done.” Buffy replied.

“Hair brained! He was chosen by a council that’s been around since the beginning of fucking time to act as one of their champions and allowed to wield the most powerful fucking weapon in existence and you call that something hair brained!” Faith exclaimed leaping to Xander’s defense.

“She is jealous.” Kendra said.

“I’m not jealous of Xander.” Buffy replied.

“Yes, you are.” Kendra said. “He is in a position dat will make him famous across de world and across de universe while you may not be remembered for much save what you do here. You are jealous.”

I’M NOT JEALOUS!” Buffy exclaimed. “I don’t want him to get hurt.”

“You are so jealous, B.” Faith said. “You probably wanted to keep Xander around like a pet while you paraded around with GI Joe. From what I’ve seen on the news, he’s got the attention of an even prettier blonde.”

Xander rolled his eyes as Willow turned to look at Xander.

“You don’t mean Wonder Girl, do you?” She asked. “Is she nice? I think that was you on the news with her.”

“We just met.” Xander said with a laugh. “You make it sound like I’m sleeping with her.”

Joyce ran out between the small group. “Could we take this inside where we can have a civil conversation that doesn’t result in accidentally letting a certain someone’s identity out?” She asked.

Obediently, they walked back into Casa de Summers and Xander quickly informed Joyce that he’d pay for a new door.

“Just don’t let it happen again.” Joyce said. “Though I thank you for paying off the mortgage.”

“Not a problem thanks to the broker that was set up.” Xander replied. “One of the other GLs of this sector set me up with the broker used by the JLA.”

“The bloody capes play the stock market.” Spike said with a laugh. “Somehow, I don’t see Superman buying pork futures.”
“Hey, saving the world isn’t a well paying job and we do what we can.” Xander replied. “And if you think about revealing my identity to anyone, I know several planets to dump you on that get quite sunny if you know what I mean.”

“Not a problem.” Spike said holding up his hands.

“Good, any questions that don’t involve me being told to give up my ring?” He asked. “The only people who can do that are about this tall and blue.”

Xander raised a hand to the right level and Willow let out a laugh.

“So, Papa Smurf can tell you what to do.” She said causing Xander to laugh.

“You just referred to the Guardians of the Universe as Smurfs.” He said laughing. “That’s something I think only Guy would do. I’m sorry to do this but I have to go patrol. Hopefully, I won’t run into any more higher dimensional beings.”

Xander phased through the roof and flew out into space as a question came out of Willow’s mouth.

“Any more higher dimensional beings?” She asked.

Xander made his way out of the solar system and hovered around the second planet in the Proxima Centauri system.

“Ring, what would it take to insert someone into a location and alter memories of those who are suppose to be close to this person?” He asked the AI of his ring.

It would require nothing less than a severe alteration of reality as it is known.

“Why am I not influenced by it?” He asked.

There are two very distinct possibilities. One, your time in the Shadow Master’s realm may have shielded you from the influencing force. Two, the telepathic shields that you gained during your training may have been sufficient as well to protect you.

“Why would anyone do it?” He asked the ring.

Forcing those affected by the influencing force to protect the person may be the reason.

“I got to tell the Guardians about this.” He said to himself.

He noticed a violet streak of light come towards him and come to a stop. A beautiful red haired blue skinned woman clad in a violet uniform of some kind was in front of him.

Violet energy spectrum detected. Spectrum energy: Love.

“Hello.” Xander said.

“Greetings, Green Lantern.” She replied. “I am Star Sapphire Miri Arim. Queen Aga’po requests that you meet with her.”

This did perplex him. “Are you sure you have the right Green Lantern?” He asked. “I’ve just had my ring for a year.”

“She wishes to speak with you.” Miri said. “She has already ‘entertained’ the Guardians as well as a few Lanterns. The Queen wishes to speak with you personally.”

“About what?” He asked.

“I do not know.” She said glancing behind him. “We have been told to use force if necessary.”

Xander turned to see six more Star Sapphires had arrived while he had been distracted by Miri. He turned back to Miri.

“I’m just going to let my superiors know and---!” Xander began to say before he was struck in the back by a violet energy blast.

“Fatality!” One of the Star Sapphire’s yelled. “What was that for?”

“The less the Guardians know, the better off we are.” Fatality replied only to receive an emerald energy blast in response.

“Quid pro quo.” Xander said before being blasted by seven more violet blasts.

He fell to the planet’s surface creating a small impact crater when he hit the ground. Looking up, he could see the seven Star Sapphires streaking down towards him like Valkyries coming down from Valhalla.

“Ring, contact Oa.” Xander said.

Unable to comply. Communications are being jammed.

“Damn, no need to guess who is jamming communications.” Xander said to himself.

One of the Star Sapphires landed in front of him and Xander brought his ring hand to bear on her. He wasn’t liking the idea of being captured by these female ring wielders and they were going to realize it. But then, she spoke and he recognized her.

“Xander, you need to surrender.” She said. “I don’t want to see you hurt.”

His eyes widened with shock at who it was in front of him.

“Cordy, what the hell are you doing here?” He asked in obvious surprise.

“I’m serving my queen and she felt that I might be able to convince you to surrender without a fight but then Fatality had to fire on you.” Cordelia replied with a smile. “Sorry about that. I guess you aren’t going to come in peacefully though.”

“How long have you been a Star Sapphire?” He asked.

“The day after I found out you were a Green Lantern is the day it happened.” She said.

Cordelia sat in her room crying as she held onto a framed picture of Doyle. She didn’t know why today she began to mourn him again but she was. A violet flash of light came through an open window and hovered in front of her. She set the picture down to see it was a violet colored ring that reminded her of Xander‘s own ring except this one had a different symbol on it.

Cordelia Chase of Earth, you have the capability to show great love.

She couldn’t believe she was about to talk to a ring but she did.

“Like that matters.” She replied.

For hearts long lost and full of fright, for those alone in Blackest Night, accept our ring and join our fight, love conquers all--with violet light!

“Nice speech.” Cordelia said to the ring.

It is the oath of a Star Sapphire. They are the defenders of love in the universe. You have been selected to join them.

“Like the Green Lantern Corps?” She asked.

There are similar aspects to the Star Sapphires and the Green Lanterns.

“I don’t think I’m cut out for something like that.” Cordelia replied. “I’m not like Xander.”

He will not survive the Blackest Night without you, Cordelia. He will need you when the Blackest Night occurs.

“What the hell are you talking about?” She asked. “What is the Blackest Night?”

Unknown...but it is believed to be the end of the War of Light in which the seven lights will be completely put out. Xander will fall defending the Green Lantern Corps.

Cordelia let the ring slip itself onto her finger.

“For hearts long lost and full of fright, for those alone in Blackest Night, accept our ring and join our fight, love conquers all--with violet light!” She exclaimed reciting the oath. “What do we do now?”

Now, you must be prepared for the journey to Zamaron.

Cordelia closed her eyes as she felt the Star Sapphire crystal begin to grow around her like a protective cocoon. It felt so warm and comforting that she fell asleep as she was completely enveloped by it.

Xander fired at the five Star Sapphires that were actively attacking him. Carol stood next to Cordelia.

“He fights as good as Hal.” She said.

“His weakness will not be the same as any Green Lantern you may encounter.” Cordelia told the woman. “Fear will not be able to weaken him. He’s overcome it too much for it to have any effect on him.”

“What will?” Carol asked.

“Exactly.” Cordelia said.

Cordelia flew at Xander, colliding with the Green Lantern sending her former boyfriend to the ground. Surprising him, she kissed him full on the lips.

“Cordy, what the hell?” Xander asked.

“Just shut up.” Cordelia replied smiling.

Using her ring, she incased herself and Xander in conversion crystal. The six remaining Star Sapphires lash violet chain constructs onto the crystal before they fly away.

“SSSSSHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTT!” Faith screamed as she woke up suddenly.

She never had what Buffy had referred to as a ‘Slayer Dream’ before and it scared the crap out of her. Based on what she saw, she knew that she had to make a few calls. Faith picked up the phone and dialed the number she had for Tara.

“Hello.” Tara said when she answered the phone.

“Hey, Tara.” Faith replied. “This is Faith. This is going to sound really weird but I need you to come here as soon as you can. It’s urgent.”

“I’ll be right there.” Tara said hanging up the phone.

It didn’t take long for Tara to arrive but it looked like that she was a bit distraught. Faith was a bit concerned.

“What happened, Tara?” She asked.

“Willow tried to accuse me of sleeping with you.” Tara replied.

“Fuck, Red sure has her head up her ass.” Faith said. “But I had a Slayer dream and I think it had something to do with Xander.”

“He is okay, right?” Tara asked.

“I don’t know but there’s some stuff in Xander’s basement that might be able to help.” Faith said.

Faith led Tara down to the house’s basement where from the various things scattered as it seemed that Xander had been apparently researching what information he had available on other Lantern Corps. Kendra appeared to be reading a strange book.

“I believe I have figured out which two lights may be de best use to us.” Kendra said walking over to a dry erase board. Picking up a marker, she drew two symbols on the board. “De one on de left is de symbol of hope and de one on de right is de symbol for compassion, I tink.”

“What about getting the Green Lantern Corps to find Xander?” Tara asked.

“Because Slayer dreams are prophetic, Faith’s dream says dat Xander is in great danger.” Kendra replied. “We have to help him now.”

“Besides, Boytoy left something for us to use in case the shit hit the fan.” Faith said walking over to a large glass case. The glass had a sentence painted on it. IN CASE OF EMERGENCY/APOCALYPSE, BREAK GLASS. Faith smashed the glass and pulled out the contents setting them down on a table in the center of the room. “Xander had an extra power ring and an extra battery available.”

“Doesn’t that seem like something they wouldn’t let him have?” Tara asked.

“Probably, but we can’t worry about that right now.” Faith replied slipping the power ring on her finger. “Tara, you need to figure out some way to get you and Kendra to wherever they use hope and compassion for power. Hopefully, they’ll help.”

“What are you going to do?” Tara asked.

“I’m going to try to find Xander.” Faith said holding her ring over to the battery. “In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight, let those who worship evil’s might, beware my power---Green Lantern’s Light!”

In a flash of emerald energy, the Green Lantern uniform formed on Faith. She quickly checked to find that she didn’t have the badge which she didn’t mind.

“Ring, can you find Xander?” She asked.

Negative, Lantern Harris’ ring is unable to be detected.

“He’s not dead, is he?” She asked.

Negative, Lantern Harris’ ring would have either returned to Oa or found a new bearer.

“Can you find his last known location?” She asked.

Last known location: Proxima Centauri 2.

“Well, time to see what this can do.” Faith said. “I’ll see you two later.”

Faith phased herself through the house and flew through the air. This was a rush but she couldn’t forget the real reason why she had this ring on.

“I’ll find you, Xander.” She said. “No matter what.”

It took them a couple of hours but it came down to a simple teleportation spell mixed in with a blood ritual. They performed the spell together and they disappeared in a flash of light.

Kendra woke up with strange aliens gathered around her. Each one of them was clad in indigo colored garments. The apparent leader was a pale violet skinned woman.

“Tor lorek san, bor nakka mur, Natromo faan tornek wot ur, Ter lantern ker lo Abin Sur, Taan lek lek nok -- Formorrow Sur!” She said.

The language sounded beautiful to her.

Ganthet and Sayd did not understand what was happening until a human woman teleported in front of them. Unfortunately, they happened to be a couple of hundred feet off the ground and she began to plummet to the ground below but the two Guardians of Odym were able to stop her fall.

“Who are you?” Ganthet asked her.

“My name is Tara and I was hoping you might be able to help me find my friend.” She said.
