Alexander Lavelle Harris

This is a work of fan fiction. The author of this work does not own Buffy the Vampire Slayer in any of its incarnations, nor the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy in any of its incarnations.

This is a series of drabbles. It will not, contrary to the title, be infinitely long :-)

We are following a time-traveling character. The stories will not necessarily appear in the same order that they do (or would) in the Buffyverse.

This chapter is set at Sunnydale Elementary School, circa 1990.

“Alexander Harris?”

Xander looked up at the adult, but didn’t answer. “Alexander” meant trouble.

“Alexander Lavelle Harris?” the adult asked. Big trouble.

“He’s the dumb guy you’re looking for,” Cordelia said.

“Hey!” Willow objected.

“It means he can’t speak.”

“He can speak! Xander, tell him you can speak.”

The adult didn’t wait for Xander’s reply. “You are an idiot child, and you will remain an idiot child until long after you are grown.” He made a check mark on the clipboard he was carrying, then turned and walked smartly away.

“He’s got you pegged,” said Cordelia, and did the same.
