The Aftermath

Xander woke up in Ethan's Costume a little confused and with a headache. Ethan was nowhere to be seen and the ground was littered with stone shards of the Janus bust. Lacking anything better to do he headed home and before passing out on his bed, grabbed a bottle of aspirin and took the tablets with a bottle of spring water.

All night, his dreams were filled with strange scrolling words in a language he couldn't understand. The next morning he dragged himself to school and sat down at a desk in English; which held more interest to him for some reason.

He started to write out the eytmology of the words in the essay they were reading; before the end of class he had a sheaf of paper which Ms. Kerbopple demanded to look at.
Ever the lexophile, Ms. Kerbopple was astounded at the papers; every eytmology looked correct.
Her first instinct was to accuse him of cheating, but what was he cheating on? Even then, he could be reaching the potential that she knew each of her students in her classes had.
So, she let it go along with Xander.
Next came Math and by the end of the period, Xander had scribbled several sheets of arcane formula.
Mr. O'Neil the math teacher said they were wrong.
Lunch came and went rather sedately, Xander didn't feel like interacting much; especially with his painful headache.
Study Hall at the end of the day was taken in the Library, and Xander used this time to write more words down.
Giles finally asked the question both the faculty and some of the student body wanted him to ask.
“Xander, what's wrong?”

“Well, Giles can we speak in private, it would be more beneficial to us.” Xander said.

“Certainly, step into my office. Now, what is this change?” Giles said.

“I seem to be more lexicologically proficient and some of my lexicon can affect reality.” Xander said.
He spoke Tharusch en havuck.

Giles' arm started to dance a jig by itself.

Giles stared in shock at his arm and suddenly smiled, grinning from ear to ear.

Xander spoke kcuvah ne hcsuraht, the arm stopped and Giles began to laugh.

“My dear boy, my prayers have been answered! Long have I waited for you to show your innate potential!” Giles said.

“Yeah, about that let's not tell Willow yet she might react rather badly.” Xander said.

A/N: Well, I'm going to drop it here until next chapter where we get the Rosenberg and Summers reaction. I'd like to take a poll as to how it should be, which I will take into consideration and I'd also like people to weigh in on Angel's reaction.
