Chapter 4

As the sun broke through the window warming Xander, he woke up and saw Michael still lying next to him. He sighed with pleasure as he remembered the activities of last night and he kissed Michael on the forehead which caused the older man to stir.

“Mmmmmm,” Michael moaned as Xander’s arms left him, he looked up and said, “Are you leaving already?”

Xander grinned and ran one of his hands through Michael’s soft black hair and said, “And deny myself the view of you cuddled up next to me?”

“Sweet talker you are,” Michael said softy, “I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.”

Xander responded by pulling Michael closer towards him, smiling as he purred in contentment. He whispered, “I am not going anywhere.”

“So what do you want to do today Xander?” Michael asked, “I took the day off so if you wanted to spend it with me you could.”

Xander said, “Does any part of the plan involve lying here with you in my arms?”

Michael groaned, “Yes it can Xander.”

“Well,” Xander said, “we could go to a comic shop if you want?”

Michael smiled and said, “That would be fine but first we have to get out of bed.”

Xander sighed, “It’s a sacrifice but I can manage it Michael, I am still sticky from last night so I got to have a shower,” then Xander grinned at Michael, “do you want to join me?”

Michael blushed and said, “If we have a shower, we might need a shower to recover from THAT shower.”

Xander stretched out his arms and said, “Oh well,” as he got up exposing his body to Michael, “I will be in the shower if you decide to join me.”

Michael stared at his young lover’s body, ‘It was perfection,’ he thought and moaned, “Okay Xander that’s it, I am getting in there with you.”

Xander smiled and pulled Michael up from the bed kissing him deeply; his tongue parted Michael’s lips and explored his mouth. Michael gasped for air and said, “Your lips should be considered dangerous.”

“Awww, I haven’t kissed any of my exes to death Mikey,” Xander said.

Michael pulled Xander into the bathroom, started the shower and got in.

Xander went in behind him, grabbed a bottle of shampoo and began to wash Michael’s hair, Michael whispered, “I can bathe myself.”

“Do you want me to stop then?” Xander whispered into Michael’s ear.

“God no Xander,” Michael gasped.

Xander laughed gently as he continued to gently massage Michael’s scalp, Michael groaned, “This feels so good.”

“Of course it does with warm water running down between us,” Xander said as he cupped Michael’s balls, “and I have a nice view of a beautiful man.”

Michael smiled and turned around to kiss Xander deeply, “This is incredible, I only just met you and you can make me swoon like a fairy tale princess.”

Xander said, “Then I am doing something right, aren’t I?”

“Uh huh,” Michael said.

“Very eloquent,” Xander said joking.

“Xander, you make me tongue tied when I try to flirt with you,” Michael said.

“Oh well,” Xander said as he kissed Michael again, “I think we are clean enough,” as he stepped out of the shower.

Michael ran his eyes over Xander’s body and said, “Have you considered trying out for the King of Babylon?”

Xander grinned and said, “Not really, what’s it about?”

“Basically a popularity contest; the men basically choose the hottest man there and there are prizes,” Michael said.

“Hmmm, so a bunch of horny gay men eye fucking me? Could be fun,” Xander said.

Michael suddenly had a little vision of Xander being surrounded by a bunch of men hooting and hollering and said, “Forget I said anything at all.”

“Someone’s jealous,” Xander sang out as he got dressed.

Michael said, “No I am not, I just don’t like the idea of men eye fucking you.”

“Don’t worry Mikey, with me they can look but not touch,” Xander said

“So,” Michael asked, “who is allowed to touch you?”

Xander held him tightly and said. “You are.”

As Michael blushed Emmett came in and said, “Okay you two, as much as I love hearing you flirt I need my beauty sleep.”

“True,” Xander said, “we have the whole day for us, what do you want to do first Mikey?”

“Let’s get something eat Xander, I’m starving,” Michael said.

“Let’s go then Mikey,” Xander said grabbing Michael’s hand, he turned back and waved bye to Emmett and yelled, “It was nice seeing you again.”

Emmett watched them walk out of the apartment and said, “Wow, Michael has it bad and I don’t even think HE knows how bad he has it.”

As they got to the diner Xander saw Ethan there.

Ethan waved to Xander and smiled when his nephew looked appropriately embarrassed to see him there.

“Uncle Ethan, what are you doing here?” Xander asked.

“Can’t I just come here for a nice breakfast? I rather enjoyed the food here yesterday so I came here, I didn’t expect you and your lovely date from last night to show,” Ethan said.

Xander smirked and said, “Yeah right Uncle Ethan.”

Ethan grinned and said, “Why don’t you two join me?”

Xander said, “Okay Uncle Ethan.”

“So what did you two young men do last night?” Ethan asked.

“Oh, nothing much,” Michael said.

Xander smiled and said, “He means to say; I fucked him.”

“Xander!!” Michael exclaimed.

Ethan laughed and said, “Pay it no mind young man, Xander has never seen much need to shield his frail uncle from the truth.”

“You Uncle Ethan? Frail? When did I miss that news update?” Xander asked.

“Xander, you’re worse than my mom,” Michael said.

“But you will still go out with me then?” Xander said.

“God help me but yes, I will still go out with you,” Michael said as he kissed Xander on the cheek.

Xander blushed and said, “You are a good man.”

Ethan said, “Indeed you are young man.”

Debbie came out with Ethan’s order and saw her son along with the cute young man from yesterday, she laughed, ‘Looks like Michael got lucky last night,’ she thought.

Ethan was happy for Xander, ‘This Michael seemed like a good man.’

“So Michael, tell me about this Ted friend of yours, I find him intriguing,” Ethan said.

Michael asked, “Why do you find him so fascinating?”

“He reminds me of someone I once knew and I believe that underneath his straight laced personality lies a very dirty minded man,” Ethan said

Xander sighed and said, “Uncle Ethan, you might creep him out by coming on too strong.”

Michael said, “Ethan, you might as well try.”

Ethan grinned; he had such ideas for this Ted and then said, “Xander, I need your help with something when you get home tonight.”

Xander looked at Ethan with a bit of curiosity and said, “What do you want my help with?”

Ethan said, “I believe there is a costume party going on and I was hoping you could help me sell some costumes?”

Xander paled, he had heard what had happened in Sunnydale and said, “Ethan, what are you up to?”

Ethan smiled innocently and said, “Nothing dangerous.”

Michael just looked at the two and wondered what caused the tension to go up and said, “Xander, what’s wrong?”

Xander looked at Michael and grasped his hand said, “Nothing at all baby.”

Michael sighed with relief and smiled gently.

Ethan laughed and said, “Well, I should go lads and Xander; do put in a good word for me with Ted.”

Xander laughed and said, “I might have to lie a bit about that!!”

Ethan grinned, “If you have to lie, be tasteful dear nephew.”

Michael said, “Your uncle is really weird.”

Xander said, “Yeah he is, but uncle Ethan is actually quite supportive to those he cares about, he would take good care of Ted.”

Michael and Xander ate the food that Debbie had brought them. Michael was turning red from the knowing smile his mom gave him.

Xander smiled at Debbie and said, “How’s work today?”

Debbie grinned and said, “Oh, its going fine. So Michael you going to tell me how your date went last night?”

“Mom, it went fine,” Michael said.

“He means to say; we had a good time,” Xander said, “and we might do something on the weekend.”

Michael looked at Xander in surprise.

Debbie said, “That sounds great,” and as she walked away she turned back and said, “Why don’t you come over for dinner one of these nights?”

Xander said, “I’ll see about that ma’am.”

Michael said, “Wow, you were polite to my mom, but with your uncle?”

Xander said, “Oh that; my uncle actually likes it if I tell him the truth but I don’t believe your mom wants to hear that you let me in your backdoor.”

Michael said, “Obviously you don’t know my mom that well then.”

Xander said, “Well, your mom seems like a good person.”

“She is Xander,” Michael said, “and I think she likes you.”

“Only her?” Xander said in a charming voice.

Michael blushed and said, “Well, not just her, you know.”

Xander smiled and caressed Michael’s face and said, “Good.”

“Well,” Michael said, “we still have the whole day. So, where do you want to go?”

Xander thought it over and said, “Let’s go to that comic shop you wanted to go to.”

Michael grinned and said, “Okay, lets go,” as he grabbed Xander’s hand.

When they got to the comic store, Xander noticed how excited Michael was getting over the comics. He heard a voice say, “Xander, is that you?”

He turned around and noticed it was Vincent, an incubus he used to date.

“Uhh, Vincent? What are you doing back here?” Xander asked.

Vincent grinned and said, “Just doing some reading.”

Xander smiled, “It is good to see you again.”

“It is good to see you too Xander,” Vincent said, “So are you with anyone now?”

Xander nodded and said, “Yeah, I am.”

Vincent laughed gently and said, “Whoever he is. He is a lucky man.”

Xander said, “That’s him, over by the graphic novel section.”

Vincent said, “He looks very cute.”

“You know, he has a roommate.” Xander said.

“Hmm,” Vincent said, “I might consider it if the boy is single.”

Michael noticed the absolutely gorgeous man talking to Xander and tried to push down a stab of jealously.

Xander noticed Michael glaring at Vincent and went over and started to touch Michael to reassure him who he was with.

Michael shot a glare at Vincent who only smiled and walked over to say hi.

“Hello, my name is Vincent and I am one of Xander’s exes.”

Michael looked at Xander and said, “You dumped him?”

Xander shrugged and said, “We weren’t that compatible for a relationship.”

“So, your just friends?” Michael asked.

“Yes,” Xander said, “we have just been friends for a year or so.”

Michael inwardly sighed with relief as he left to pay for his purchases.

Vincent looked at Michael and said, “He’s cute but he’s bit self conscious, isn’t he?”

Xander stared at Vincent and said, “He’s a good guy and we do get along well.”

Vincent grinned and said, “It’s more than that Xander; you two are very attached to each other.”

Xander sighed, “You’re right Vincent, sometimes I think you should be a relationship specialist.”

Meanwhile Ethan had begun to place busts of Janus in various places in Babylon, he laughed, this would be SO much fun.

Xander walked Michael home after they had spent the afternoon together. As he left, he kissed Michael softly on the lips and said, “If you still want to see me on the weekend, call, okay?”

Michael gasped, “The weekend? I want to see you every day!!”

Xander chuckled and left, as he got out of Michael’s sight he magically teleported home.

Marnin and Mok’esha saw him come in, Mok’esha said, “So was your date good?”

Xander said, “It was and we will probably do something for the weekend.”

Ethan came in to the living room, saw Xander and said, “Perfect, you’re home now to discuss my plans for that costume ball.”

Marnin said, “Is this going to be like Halloween?”

“No, the spell is not a strong as it would be in Sunnydale and I made sure I supplied the club with harmless spells,” Ethan said.

“So, what is the spell going to do?” Xander asked.

“It’s going to change people into their costumes but its going a very localized effect and not nearly as dangerous as it would be on a Hellmouth,” Ethan said.

Mok’esha sighed, “And you want Xander’s help?”

“Not with the actual ritual. I just need his help to get them to buy or rent my costumes,” Ethan replied.

“Well as long as you can promise nothing bad will happen,” Xander said, “to Michael or anyone else.”

Ethan smirked and said, “I was right, it has bit you, hard.”

“What?” Xander asked, “What bit me?”

“Why my boy, love. You are very smitten with your man,” Ethan said.

Xander sighed and said, “Maybe Uncle Ethan, maybe.”
