Chapter Five

"Look out!" Willow screamed, picking up the closest thing to her - a plate - and tossing it at the man that had appeared behind Piper. Just before it hit him, she froze him - and the plate.

"Maybe I should have warned you about Leo."

"Leo?"

"My boyfriend. He's sort of our... protective Angel. He does this from time to time." Piper raised her hands into the air and just Leo unfroze, "Quickly dear, move before the plate hits you."

The man moved out of the way just in time for the plate to go into motion again, hitting the wall and crashing instead of what would have been his head.

"Sorry.." Willow mumbled weakly.

"Don't worry about it, I shouldn't really be doing that without making sure the coast is clear, anyway. Good thing you're a witch," Leo turned towards Piper, a serious expression playing across his face, "Piper, there's trouble."

Her head motioned towards the hallway and they all began walking, "You're telling me! What exactly is going on?"

"Well, I don't know exactly. But what they told me is that there's going to be a lot of trouble if she stays."

"Why?"

"Think of it as... the power of six. That's how much power she holds. Before she entered the city and met you, you could all coexist together. But with your powers meshing together, evil isn't happy about it at all. Except she has the chance of going good or bad, but she has no control over it." Leo explained, and Willow bowed her head.

"So, you mean... she's neither good nor bad?"

"Maybe she should explain herself."

Willow's eyes moved from the floor to the two girl's and man staring before her. She wasn't exactly one to open up, she never had been. So, telling everyone one of her worst nightmares of a story wasn't exactly her idea of a party. But Willow knew she had to do it. They had to know.

"A few years ago, something.. terrible happened. Something that really upset me. I lost someone I was in love with. She was murdered," Willow's eyes had moved to the ground again, "I tapped into powers that were beyond me and lost control. I killed the man that murdered her and started hurting the people I loved that got in my way. I didn't really know I was doing it, it just... happened. I almost destroyed the earth."

The following silence was one of the longest she'd ever heard. Willow knew how it must've sounded: Cute little redheaded girl got angry and veiny and almost destroyed the world? She could think of better jokes. However, they knew she wasn't joking at all. Unfortunately, this wasn't a joke, which meant there was no punchline.

"So, that means you are good.. You just accidentally tapped into evil and it took you over?" A voice said from behind her, and suddenly she realized there was another girl. The third sister, Prue.

"Pretty much."

"That just means we have to keep you safe and make sure nothing gets to you."

"What do we do with him?" Phoebe asked, poking the man's forehead.

"I'll take care of it," Leo said, nodding to the girls, before turning to Willow, "Don't worry and don't blame yourself. They'll keep you safe, you have nothing to worry about."

Except Willow did. She wasn't worried about her being the one needing the safety.
