Blue Screen of Death

Spike sat on the bed beside Willow after his attempt to bite her had failed ignominiously.

“Maybe you were nervous,” Willow suggested.

“Felt alright when I started,” Spike said. “Let’s try again.” Once more pain stopped Spike in his tracks. He gathered himself for another attempt and then paused. “Funny. There’s writing floating in front of my eyes.”

“Oh?” Willow’s eyebrows rose. “What does it say?”

Spike’s brow creased as he tried to focus. Gradually a grin spread across his face. “Windows message,” he said, reaching for Willow again, “Neurological implant v1.7 has encountered a problem and needs to close.”
