Into The Woods, It's Time To Go, It May Be All...
... In Vain I Know

Giles paused. He looked around, and decided that he was far enough from anything remotely close to civilization, and he sat down on the forest floor with his back against a tree.
With his eyes closed, he centered himself, and reached out with his mind.
The last time he had done this, there had been a dozen or so experienced witches there doing the same and channeling the power they had drawn from the Earth into him. It had not been the most comfortable process he'd ever undergone.
Of course, the later results had been the roof of the Magic Box falling in on him, and that hadn't been terribly comfortable, either.
But this was rather enjoyable. His mind likened it to the difference between being in the shower versus being hit by a fire hose.
He slowly increased his draw, and took the magic and put it away for later.
He hoped he wouldn't need it, but it wouldn't hurt to be prepared.
