Chapter One: The Wish

Smoke and Mirrors

Chapter One: The Wish

Disclaimer: I don’t own Buffy or Supernatural.

Author's Note: I know the whole wish thing is overdone but what can I say, I needed a way to get her to the Supernatural Verse. The first few chapters will probably be short. I hope you enjoy!

Buffy stood back from the smoking brazier of herbs she’d borrowed without Willow’s permission calmly and waited wrinkling her nose at the strong scent that permeated the basement of Slayer Central, Cleveland Division.

“A Slayer!” shrieked the tall sickeningly bright yellow demon who had appeared in a small flash of golden light and smoke, “You can’t kill me! You can’t summon me just to kill me that is not fair! It’s against the rules! D’Hoffryn would hunt you down and make you suffer!”

“I’m not going to kill you, I have a wish,”

“I thought your kind were against vengeance,” mocked the demon.

“It’s a flexible rule,” Buffy said ominously.

The demon gulped straightening her frizzy curls nervously and chewing on her bright yellow lip.

“Alright-y then Slayer, well I’m the Justice Demon for lost opportunities so whatever you want has to be within those parameters or well…you have to pay a price,”

“I understand,” Buffy agreed.

“What do you wish?”

“I never had a chance to finish college after my death, I wish I could just start over in a nice new dimension, as a normal girl, and go through high school and college and actually have a chance at making something of myself,” said Buffy adopting a flippant tone.

“Hmm, good wish, very thorough,” mused the demon thinking carefully, “Very well, granted,” intoned the demon snapping her yellow fingers imperiously.

Buffy felt the world shift under her and almost instantly she stood in front of an LA high school, not her old school exactly but similar. She examined her timetable and map and strode confidently into the institutionalized jungle, face set in the expression she used to frighten the various forces of darkness into line, Buffy went to class.
