I own nothing. Buffy and Angel people belong to Joss and Mutant Enemy. I’m just playing. Don’t sue. The Stargate people belong to Gekko Productions, Double Secret Productions, MGM/UA, Showtime/Viacom.. a hell of a lot of people, if you ask me! Author's Notes/Warnings/Spoilers:
Set in the World Without 'verse after chapter twenty-three when Faith was shot and was taken to the Tok'ra. I'm sorry to say that you won't know what I'm going on about here if you haven't read World Without. Author's Notes II:
I have not forgotten about World Without... I swear. Nor have I abandoned it (and I will post more FE soon-ish).Dedication:
For FireWolf. Thank you for all your wonderful reviews! *hugs* I know I promised this last week, but New Dawn consumed by brain and then I had trouble working out a missing scene to write. Sorry! This isn't quite what you wanted, but my muses refused to budge on this once the idea popped in my head last night. I hope you enjoy this.
~ Fear ~
Faith Lehane was scared. She had felt fear before, but never like this. In fact Faith hadn't realised it was possible to be this scared.
"Tell me again," Faith demanded.
"You're dying," the man, Jacob Carter, said. "You were brought here to the Tok'ra homeworld in the hopes that we would be able to heal you with our technology."
"But you can't heal me."
"No, but there is an alternative."
"You want me to become one of you," Faith said. "If I take that thing into my body, it can heal me and I'll live?"
The fear flared again.
~ Faith ~
"You know if this is a trap, a way to get to Red, she'll rip you apart," Faith told them, pleased that her voice didn't show her fear, pain... or uncertainty.
Faith refused to even allow herself to think that Red wouldn't save her if she needed it. She couldn't, otherwise she'd never be able to do this. She had to have faith that if this symbiote, Kyanna, took over of her body, enslaved her, that Red would save her. That Red would make them pay.
"It's not a trap," Jacob promised her. Teal'c nodded in agreement.
"Okay. Do it."
~ Friends ~
It was a trip. That was the only way Faith could describe it. It hurt at first, a sharp sudden pain as the symbiote entered her body. After that, though, it was a trip.
She got why they called it blending.
Faith watched as a life she hadn't lived flashed in front of her eyes. A long, bloody, freaking insane life and as she watched it, all doubts she had about this fell away. She knew, even before it was over, that everything was going to be okay.
was going to be okay.
She had a new friend.
