i. i wish i could have another chance, angel. to not ruin my baby boy like i did connor. i wouldn't leave him again.
Cordelia stared at the baby in her arms as Leo looked at him over her shoulder.
"He's a beautiful baby," Leo said softly.
She did not respond. A lot had happened since the last time she had held (and in the end, ruined) a beautiful baby boy.
Leo brushed a hand back from her neck and she felt a cold sort of heat, like ice on fire, and she could here the faint chiming buzz of his healing. "A seer will be a great mother for him.
All she could think of was Connor, above her,
inside her. She could almost feel it again; how the way he moved like a predator and his clumsy love making had met in a battle royale.
She could remember feeling him come, the way Jasmine had relished his seed.
"Kira--"
"What's his name?" she asked.
Leo brushed a hand over his son's head. "Chris. We named him Chris."
