“Talking”Story: Seeing is believing. And believing is taking action.Ginny/Blaise I:December 25th, Rose Cottage, Christmas dinner
Luna was watching Ginny closely. The look on her face whenever she saw a couple being open about their affection for their significant other -- or significant others
as was the case for some -- was one of longing, pure longing for something she wanted to have too.
No one else but her -- and maybe Dru -- saw the look for what it really was. Most of them still thought Ginny was nursing a broken heart. Luna knew, though, that she had already found someone else. Someone unexpected probably, because he hadn’t been introduced to her family -- not yet, anyway.
Making up her mind about she was going to do, Luna walked towards Ginny. Standing next to her, she stared straight ahead -- not looking at Ginny herself -- and started to speak in a low and slightly dreamy voice, “There are so many couples here tonight -- even if not all of them are open about their affections yet. Each couple consisting of such different individuals. Ah, when the timing is right, they will be open about their affection. And all the animals in our kingdom will rejoice when they do.”
Having said what she had wanted to say, Luna walked off and left a confused Ginny looking after her with a stunned look on her face, wondering how the flighty, blonde girl had known. And also asking herself who those animals could be that Luna had spoken of before she had left. Usually Luna’s words had a double meaning, after all. A double meaning that only became clear after careful thought. Well, they usually
had another meaning. Sometimes her words were nothing but crazy ramblings. This time, though, Ginny just knew
that Luna’s words had another meaning.End Ginny/Blaise I.A/N:
A virtual Dame Noire for everyone who guesses correctly what Luna meant by ‘All the animals in our kingdom will rejoice when they do’. Reviews are welcomed, flames are not!
