Summary: The only time he thought of her that way was at times like this, when he was in so much shit he couldn't see the sky.

The four of them stood in the side by side, eyes front and in perfect formation. The clone, formerly known as Jack O'Neill, didn’t need to look at his friends to know their expressions were as closed off and as blank as his. It were times like these he was glad he taught them so many of his skills.

“We’re not going to get out of this alive,” Kit muttered with a hint of defeat in her voice. “We’re doomed.”

Jack silently agreed with the teenager, but he’d be damned if he was going to give up that easily. He had survived far too much to throw it all in now. “Just remember what I said.”

Out of the corner of his eye, Jack saw Carlos nod. “Deny. Deny. Deny.”

Damn right.

“They won’t do anything to us,” Dawn said confidently. “They can’t. It's not permanent!”

Jack barked out a laugh. Was she serious? After what they did? “Considering whom we’re about to face, Dawn, I wouldn’t bet on it. I think this is the worst enemy we’ve ever had to face.” Not that he truly thought of their current foe as their enemy. The only time he thought of her that way was at times like this, when he was in so much shit he couldn't see the sky.

"The worst enemy we've ever faced?" Dawn made a noise that sounded almost like a whimper. “Worse than the Creeps?”

Way worse than the Creeps.” And the Goa’uld, and the replicators, and the…

“Worse than Malfoy?”

Jack’s mouth quirked at a particularly pleasant memory the name invoked, namely one involving himself, Fred and George. “Malfoy isn’t even a blip on the radar.” He’d give anything to be back at Hogwarts right now.

“Well, if we don’t make it,” Dawn said, wiping a ‘tear’ from her eye. “Just remember that… I love you guys.”

Carlos snorted, Kit giggled and Jack rolled his eyes.

“Aw, Dawn, that’s so sweet.”

All four of them snapped to attention at the words. Well, more importantly at the person who spoke to them, their enemy...

Buffy.

He watched as Buffy and Principal Woods walked into the office. Neither one of them looking particularly pleased which, well, didn't really surprise him all that much.

"So, would any of you like to tell me why the football team are claiming that they've been turned into Eunuchs?"
