The man hobbled down the hospital corridor, partially supported by an ornate metal walking stick. His buff-colored suit seemed to blend in with the walls. Not many seemed to notice him. Only a few gave him a polite nod. A few more looked incredibly nervous and gave him deep bows.

He stopped at one room and looked at the patient's chart. He gave a soft sigh and replaced it on the wall.

The patient lying on the hospital bed was one of the people who could see the crippled man. He inclined his head and bowed as well as he could.

"Father," Xander said in shock. "You didn't have to come."

Haephestus gave a tired smile. "I had to. I am sorry about the eye."

"I'll deal."

"Are you ok?"

"Yeah. Thank you."
