Buffy wasn’t sure how she got herself into these kinds of messes. Guess it came from letting Willow choose their costumes. There was a new book that came out over the summer that caught Willow’s interest. Something about a kid hero who used a wand, and had enemies since he was born.
His life sounded worse than hers – something she didn’t think was possible. Course, he was fictional and she wasn’t.
But back to her problem. Willow wanted to dress as the three friends in the book; she would make the perfect Hermoine, Xander was a good choice for Ron – which left Buffy to go as an 11 year old boy, Harry Potter. She wanted to make Angel see her as a beautiful woman, and she didn’t think dressing as a pre-teen boy wasn’t going to help her with that goal.
Unfortuately, she owed Willow a huge favor after the redheaded genius saved her butt on a major math assignment the week before. That meant what Willow wanted, Willow got.~~~~~~
Halifrek was passing by Sunnydale – again
– on Halloween night. This town seemed to have more of its fair share of abused or neglected children; the trick was to get one to make a wish.
Huh, something odd was going on – even by Hellmouth standards. Maybe she could use it to her advantage. She just had to find the right target. The vengeance demon grinned in anticipation as she centered her thoughts on the Slayer. The girl hated her destiny enough that any wish she
made would be a doozy…if any vengeance demon were allowed to grant it. Sadly, she was off limits to them – directly at least. People could make wishes that involved or affected the Slayer, but the Slayer herself
couldn’t make any wish to a vengeance demon.
But since the Slayer was technically somebody else at the moment – fictional as he may be – any wish Hallie could get her to make would be allowed…barely. So after some prodding, Buffy-as-Harry finally uttered the magic words, “I wish Voldemort would go away and never cause me problems again!”
On the surface, it was a pretty tame wish to grant – almost not worth her time. It wasn’t until she saw the results of it that she smiled. No blood or gore, but at least one life derailed and several movie careers dashed before they began.
**News Alert!**Plans for the movie, ‘Harry Potter and the Sorceror’s Stone’, have been put on hold indefinitely as the author announced there would be no further books in the series – despite earlier plans to have one book for each year of Hogwart’s that Harry Potter attended.
No matter what she tries, Rowling is unable to write the return of the main villain, Voldemort. And without him, Harry Potter is just another pre-teen growing up in a magical community. Hardly worth reading about in this critic’s opinion.
A/N: I thought this was funny; hope you did too.
