Those were the final words before she ended it all.

"Death is your Gift."

Four words had destroyed her.

They told her she was Chosen. Chosen above the rest. She alone stood against the Forces of Darkness; the swell of their numbers. And alone, she would fall.

The sadness. The grief. The pain. She felt it all as the little girl inside her screamed and raged against her fate. Against her so called Calling.

But on the tower, with just her sister, the Slayer understood. In that moment of rare clarity, as she looked at Dawn and her unshed tears, she finally understood.

Death was her Gift.

She jumped.
