“How many?” Hayes asked.

Ten,” Giles answered. “The only thing any of them tell us is they have the right to do anything necessary to protect the planet and that we are to hand over the girls immediately.

“Was anyone hurt?”

Troy Jacobs has a concussion from hitting his head on an end table after they sedated him, but the rest were just out cold. Most of them are understandably shaken, and even the demon population in the area is baying for blood. They’re apparently protective of those in the SWIC House.

“I think I know who they are, or at least who they work for. I know of a team that has worked against them before. Can you meet them in Derby?”

I’ll try. If not, Miriam Leeks and Markus O’Reilly are the two in charge of the Derby House.

“I’ll see what I can do about sending them there as soon as possible. Goodbye Mr. Giles.”

Thank you. And goodbye Mr. President.

Henry Hayes sighed as he hung up the phone. He poured himself a glass of whiskey, before picking up the phone again and dialing.

“Sit down Jack. Alright Mr. President, SG1 is here.”

From the information I have received, it sounds like the intruders either are or are working for the Trust. SWIC has resources they can use to find the key players and take them down, but you four are the most familiar with them. If it wouldn’t be too much trouble, could you go to Derby and meet with those in charge of the House?

“You betcha,” Jack said automatically, thinking of the little girl that must be frightened out of her wits.

Good. I’ll have the directions faxed over. Thank you” A click indicated the President had hung up.

The members of SG1 pulled up to a large three story house, and noticed the many different vehicles outside it. A man (with very strange yellow-green eyes) answered the door.

“Can I help you?” he asked.

“Yes. We’re looking for either Miriam Leeks or Markus O’Reilly,” Carter said. The names had been with the directions that were faxed over, along with a suggestion to wear civilian clothing so as not to panic any of the house’s inhabitants.

“Of course,” the man said, opening the door further. “Ms. Leeks is in the living room with Mr. Giles.
