Slight mention of events that happened in Here Kitty Kitty
Buffy sighed happily as she settled on her bed in a nest of cozy blankets with a fashion magazine. It was a few months old, but she didn’t really mind. Today was the first day she had some down time in a while.
Buffy groaned, set the magazine to the side, and untangled herself from the blankets.
Ro’Ka was a very unlucky Bohg'dar demon. Not only did his clan elders send him to attack the Slayers, but The
Slayer had come after him, axes swinging, and very angry.
It didn’t end well for him.
While he survived, he was a paranoid, jumpy wreck for the rest of his life. He hoped his comrades had better luck.
Buffy sighed happily as she settled back on her bed with the magazine.
“Buffy!” Dawn screeched. She groaned again, and grabbed the axes from earlier.
“Crap,” Dawn said, dodging another attempt to grab her. Two more Bohg’dar demons had infiltrated while their comrade distracted those downstairs, and were now trying to kidnap her.
The unused office, where they had found Dawn who was trying to get some peace and quiet, had no weapons for her to use, and the knives she did have had been taken from her.
“Buffy!” Dawn screeched out again, dancing away from one demon’s reach. An axe imbedded itself in that one’s head. It dropped to the ground.
Buffy swung her remaining axe at the other demon. It dodged, but then got tripped by Dawn, allowing Buffy to decapitate it.
“I hate Tuesdays,” Buffy and Dawn said together.
Buffy curled back under her blankets and opened the magazine. She waited five seconds, smiled, and then began reading.
Her smile dropped.
One of the wizards managed to accidentally summon a Grim, which apparently thought Andrew was prey, because it had chased him up a tree.
“I thought the cat thing was over with,” Buffy said.
“Hey!” The Grim stopped barking at Andrew and turned to her. She smacked its nose with the rolled up magazine. “Bad dog. Go home.” The Grim whimpered, then growled.
Buffy held the magazine up for another smack. It whimpered again, then turned around and went back through the portal before the wizard closed it. Buffy sat under the tree and opened the magazine.
It burst into flames.
Buffy stared at the Wicca-in-training who had been attempting to make fire (and succeeded). Her bottom lip trembled.
