Changes in the Buffy time line: Buffy was called at 17 years to be the Slayer, and moved to Sunnydale to complete her last year of High School. It was during that year that Ethan arranged for that Halloween chaos to happen. Buffy had turned 18 before it had. Spike had decided to dress up as well.

My Boyfriend’s Back: lyrics as sung by The Angels

He went away and you hung around
And bothered me, every night
And when I wouldn't go out with you
You said things that weren't very nice
My boyfriend's back and you're gonna be in trouble
(Hey-la-day-la my boyfriend's back)
You see him comin' better cut out on the double
(Hey-la-day-la my boyfriend's back)
You been spreading lies that I was untrue
(Hey-la-day-la my boyfriend's back)
So look out now cause he's comin' after you
(Hey-la-day-la my boyfriend's back)
(Hey, he knows that you been tryin')
(And he knows that you been lyin')
He's been gone for such a long time
(Hey-la-day-la my boyfriend's back)
Now he's back and things'll be fine
(Hey-la-day-la my boyfriend's back)
You're gonna be sorry you were ever born
(Hey-la-day-la my boyfriend's back)
Cause he's kinda big and he's awful strong
(Hey-la-day-la my boyfriend's back)
(Hey he knows I wasn't cheatin'!)
(Now you're gonna get a beatin'!)
(What made you think he'd believe all your lies?)
(Wah-ooo, wah-ooo)
(You're a big man now but he'll cut you down to size
(Wah-ooo, wait and see)
My boyfriend's back he's gonna save my reputation
(Hey-la-day-la my boyfriend's back)
If I were you I'd take a permanent vacation
(Hey-la, hey-la, my boyfriend's back)
Yeah, my boyfriend's back
(La-day-la, my boyfriend's back)
Look out now, yeah, my boyfriend's back
(La-day-la, my boyfriend's back)
I could see him comin'
(La-day-la, my boyfriend's back)
So you better get a runnin'
(La-day-la, my boyfriend's back)
Alright now
(La-day-la, my boyfriend's back)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
(La-day-la, my boyfriends's back)
My boyfriend's back now
(La-day-la, my boyfriend's back)
[Fades]
Know he's comin' after you
(La-day-la, my boyfriend's back)
Because he knows I've been true now...

My Boyfriend’s Back

Buffy was sad. Her boyfriend had been gone for almost a month now, and she had begun her first year at Sunnydale College. And since Spike had been gone that annoying prick Parker had first been hitting on her, then spreading bad rumors about her when she didn’t fall for his codswallop.

No stranger to an interesting reputation due to the side effects of her Slayer duties. Buffy wasn’t that worried about what was being said about her, and those who knew her never worried about it either. No what was frustrating her was that ass Riley had been a creep towards her as well as Parker and her room mate Kathy. So far her first week of College wasn’t exactly going the best that it could have been.

Buffy’s biggest disappointment was that she was really missing her smoochy times with Spike. The former Vamp turned Highlander Style Immortal, like Buffy had that fateful Halloween, was off rearranging all of his personal details and recreating a proper set of Identity papers now that he was capable of moving around freely during the days. He would be joining her at the college within a couple of days. He would have been there sooner but he had had to go deal with a situation dealing with his finances, so that he could actually afford to go.

Buffy knew that she would have had a hard time of paying for her college tuition herself if circumstances had been different. Except the memories she had retained from her brief time as the Immortal Thief Amanda had given her the skills for raising the necessary funds through creative accounting. It had eased the financial burden of her mother too, which Joyce was thankful for.

That was something that they had had struggled to get used to. While younger in body, Buffy still had just over 1 thousand years more worth of memories of life experiences than Joyce had. She still loved the woman who had been her mother, but she was no longer the young woman who Joyce had raised. They had found that they had more in common now though as Buffy had a bigger appreciation of the world of Art and Antiquities than she had before. They had bonded over it.

Also now being the only one Joyce remembers giving birth to; Dawn had become the one that Joyce focused on Mothering to her heart’s content.

Bored, Buffy found her Psych class to be not nearly as interesting as she had been hoping it would have. So she was also one of the first ones out of her seat and heading for the doors when the class finished. This had the added bonus of getting out of the Creepy ones eye sight.

She was so distracted with getting out of there that it took her a moment before she recognized what her instincts were trying to tell her.

There was another Immortal nearby, and only one in this universe that she knew about, which meant. . .

With an excited and energetic squeal Buffy exited the room and threw her arms around the bleached blonde figure waiting for her there.

She was oblivious to the stares she received as she finally got the smoochies she had been hankering for.

Later on out on the town it was a clear night, as many were in Sunnydale, and the pair was just casually strolling along enjoying each other’s company. They had their arms wrapped around each other and were enjoying each other’s closeness. Buffy didn’t have to worry about Slaying that night, in fact she was somewhat retired from it all except for the harshest of emergencies.

Faith was the new warrior in town and she seemed to really enjoy Slaying. It concerned Buffy somewhat about how enthusiastic the brunette was about it all and she had told Giles her concerns. He had taken her worries seriously and promised to keep an eye on her. He had recognized the wildness in her and had in response discarded his stuffy tweed clad librarian self and had bought back some of his Ripper persona. If Buffy hadn’t fallen head over heels for Spike she probably would have fallen for Giles. He was an attractive man.

“So what’s been going on Luv? What’s bothering you?”

“There are some creeps at school who have been bothering me.” Buffy admitted reluctantly.

“Who?” Spike demanded.

“Some idiot who’s trying to be Casanova, but when he’s rejected he spreads rumors about the girls, and when he gets them in bed he spreads rumors about them.”

“What a pillock!” Spike snorts in derision. “Who else?”

“My roommate.”

“Your roommate?”

“There’s just something about her that sets my Slayer nerves on edge.”

“Who else?”

“There’s a teacher’s assistant in my Psych class.” Buffy shrugs. “I don’t just what it is, but all my instincts are saying he’s a creep and I need to be wary around him.”

“So that’s three people we have to be on guard around?”

“Yes just the three, and now that you are here we can do something about them.”

“Oh . . . what do you have in mind?”

Buffy pulled him closer and whispered what she had in mind.

Spike laughed.

Over the next few days Buffy’s plans came to fruition.

Buffy and Spike began by investigating Buffy’s roommate Kathy Newman and discovered that she was a Mok'tagar. Buffy rips off Kathy's face to find that she is an orange, glowing blue-eyed demon. Kathy then confesses to Buffy that she left her dimension without permission to attend college, and fears that her family of demons will come to take her back. They fight against her for a bit until Kathy's demon father arrives to take her back to her own dimension. He opens a portal and they both disappear.

Willow ended up moving her stuff into the dorm room the next day. She and Buffy were now roommates.

The next problem the bleached blonde duo tackles is the idiot known as Parker Abrams. He was easy to deal with. They talk Buffy’s friends into spreading malicious yet true rumors about him. Yet when Parker continues to dupe poor unsuspecting freshman it is Spike who takes up the bat so to say. He basically beats the crap out of Parker and makes him swear on his dick to never touch a female in that way again.

The beating combined with the rumors was finally enough to get the leach to quit his womanizing ways.

And as for Riley Finn, well that’s a whole other story for another day. Let’s just say he and his commando buddies and that hag Professor Walsh didn’t have a chance with the combined memories and skills of a Slayer turned Immortal Thief and a Vampire turned Immortal Oldest Man alive.

The End!

So what do you think? I couldn't stay away from at least a little bit of Halloween influence!
