These characters do not belong to me. I’m making no money from this.
Author’s note: Surely the Master had tried before the Harvest to get free of that cave under the hellmouth.
The leaves rustled in the sea breeze. The night was a dark one at Dover, where Lucius had been ordered to meet an emissary traveling from the United States to negotiate an alliance with Lord Voldemort. He heard the humming first, and then saw a flash of blond hair, before she stepped completely out of the shadows.
Even as he sneered at her muggle clothing, Lucius couldn’t help but be struck by her beauty. Her voice was some how soft and chilling at the same time as she spoke, “I’m Darla. Are you the man here to meet me?”
In answer, Lucius held out his arm to show her the Dark Mark. “Lucius Malfoy, my master sent me to find out what your master wants of him, and what he can provide in return.”
Leaning against the wall of a clothing shop in the deserted market where they had chosen to meet, Darla smiled seductively. “My master has a large army. With his help, you could destroy all those who oppose you. All my master needs in return is help with a little mystical problem.”
He stepped closer to the beautiful vampire as he replied, “Tell me the details of this mystical problem and I will return to my master and get his decision.”
Darla explained, as briefly as possible, her master’s predicament. When Lucius was satisfied he moved to apparate back to his master’s side. “I will return here tomorrow night with his answer.” With that he disappeared.
Moving swiftly into the gloom of his master’s chamber, Lucius kneeled obediently before him. “My Lord, I have learned much from the vampire, Darla. Her master offers his army in return for freedom from the energies of a hellmouth.”
Nodding, Lord Voldemort gave a sadistic smile that reminded Lucius what chilling really was. “Tell her, that as a gesture of good faith, they are to find me Potter’s secret keeper. Once I’ve taken care of that little problem, I will send some one to bring her master to my side. A vampire army will be very useful.”
“It will be as you ask, my Lord.”
