Disclaimer: I own nothing. Angel the Series belongs to Joss Whedon and David Greenwalt.
A/N: This short drabble goes along with DeepBlueJoy's 'Twisted Road' series which I highly recommend you read if you haven't already. It was a spontaneous plot bunny that came out of a conversation we were having and she encouraged me to post it - so Blue gets some of the blame for this silliness.
“Harmony,” Gunn asked with extreme trepidation as he entered the study, “why are you sitting in the dark?”
Memories of Angel and the long nights he would spend holding a book loosely and staring at the wall sprang to his mind.
She looked up at him slowly her eyes solemn.
“I just realized that my - my,” she took a deep unneeded breath and her lower lip trembled, “my ceramic unicorn collection on my desk at work didn’t survive all of you destroying Wolfram and Hart.”
Gunn stared at her in disbelief.
“Not that they shouldn’t have been destroyed,” she rushed to say at his look. “Because yeah, sure – totally evil. Like, way evil. But,” Harmony leaned forward and whispered to him entreatingly, “the unicorns.”
A/N 2: Title refers to a part of the Irish Rover song called, appropriately enough, 'The Unicorns'.
