It was happening again. Everything seemed to be moving slowly, each second felt like a minute. His eyes could see into even the darkest corner of the poorly lit room. He could tell everyone who had been in the house for the past week by the scent alone. And the sound...

He could hear everything, the occasional car going past a couple of blocks away, the rare owl flying past. But mostly, he could hear the resounding thump of his heart. Slowly picking up pace.

Thump...thump...thump.

He took a couple of deep breaths, trying to calm himself. Trying to stop before it's to late.

Thump...thump...thump.

It's not working. He looks down at his hands, hoping against expectation not to see the fur and the claws that have come to haunt him so much.

Thump...thump..thump.

Wait! That's not him. It can't be. The beat is too slow. His head spins round as he the creak of the front door open and a voice nervously call through.

"Oz?"

Willow. Oz backs off, trying to keep clear of what little light there is, willing himself to turn back to normal.

"Oz? Are you here? The door was open?"

A small click and suddenly the room is filled with light. Oz closes his eyes to protect from the brightness.

"Oz!"

She's seen him. She knows everything now. What he is. What he's done.
