The Guardian Part 4

Disclaimer: See Part 1

The blond in front of Xander held her weapon tightly as she stared at Xander intently trying to figure out where he came from.

“Are you going to shoot me or is this something we can talk out?” asked Xander.

One of the men that stood behind her nodded.

“Ok let’s talk Carter lower your weapon.” The graying man in the ball cap told the blond.

“Let’s start over I’m Col. Jack O’Neill I am the leader of this little group of explorers and you are?”

Xander lowered his arms. “I’m the Guardian.” Xander told them.

“Guardian of What?” asked Carter.

“Exactly.” Smiled Xander.

“That doesn’t make any sense.” A man with glasses said.

“I think you find in this universe my good man very few things make sense.” Xander told him.

The large black man who until this moment had stood silent and still walk up to Xander and stared at him and asked. “Do you serve the Goa’uld?”

Xander took a step back and looked at the man. “Never heard of them and dude a breath mint now and then won’t kill you.”

“Where are you from? Asked Glasses.

“I am from the planet Galafray and yourselves?” Xander asked.

“We are planet Earth I am Doctor Daniel Jackson. This is Capt. Samantha Carter, Col. Jack O’Neill and Teal’c.” Daniel greeted him.

Xander smiled. “So are you folks part of U.N.I.T.?”

“U.N.I.T.?” asked Jack

“United Nations Intelligence Taskforce. The group that deals with alien encounters on earth.”
“You know about Earth?” Daniel asked.

“Sure visit it all the time can’t get good a good burger anywhere is the universe.” Xander smiled.

Daniel was speechless of all the reasons to visit earth fast food was not one of them.

“So what brings you to this planet? Asked Jack. Filing the name of U.N.I.T. in his head for research when they get back to earth.

“Doing a little traveling and I needed to get out and walk around a bit.”

“A pit stop?” Asked Daniel.

“Yes Doctor Jackson a pit stop when you travel as much as I do you kinda need a stop off every once in a while.”

“How do you avoid the Goa’uld?” Teal’c asked.

“I tend to avoid their part of this galaxy there is so many other galaxies that have much more to offer then a few snakes with delusions of Godhood.”

“You can travel to other Galaxies?” Carter asked more then a little surprised.

“Sure can.” Xander smiled.

“Is your ship nearby?” asked Jack hoping to make a friend.

“It’s right here.” Xander smiled as he snapped his fingers and the door to his Tardis opened.

Sam’s eyes widened as she saw the open area inside the small box.

“That’s impossible.” She muttered as she walked around the box completely running her hand over its surface.

Xander smiled as she walked inside the Tardis and mouth her words as she spoke them to the other members of SG-1

“It’s bigger on the inside then on the outside.”

“Care to join her?” Xander smiled as he walked into the Tardis.

SG-1’s male members following suit.

“Wow this is incredible.” Carter whispered as she looked the control room of Xander’s Tardis.

“How is this possible?” Daniel asked.

Xander smiled. “It’s called a Tardis which stands for Time and relative dimension in space.”

“Time? Can this craft travel thru time?” Carter asked.

“Yes it can. It can go anywhere in time and space.” Xander told them.
Jack and Teal’c moved toward the door.

“Carter Daniel it’s almost time for our check in we’re gonna……”
Carter and Daniel turned towards the door to see what had stopped Jack.

Xander walked around the console and look at the door and his eyes widened in horror.
At the door way just outside the Tardis stood a stone Angel statue with it’s arms outstretched.

“Whatever you do don’t look away. That’s not a statue and it will kill you if you look away.”
Carter and Daniel both looked hard at the statue.

“What about Jack and Teal’c?” Daniel asked.

“They’re already gone but I’ll find them.” Xander began activating a scanner and took a reading of the energy the Angel had and he activated the Tardis.
The Door slammed shut and the Tardis vanished from that world.

Sam ran over to the control console and raised her weapon. “Take us back we have to save the Col. and Teal’c.” “

“Captain I’m sorry to tell you this but they won’t be there they were transported thru time by that Angel. I am taking you back to earth and then I am going after them.”

“What the hell are you talking about?” growled Carter.

“That statue is an alien life form known as a weeping Angel it kills people by throwing them back in time and absorbing the energy from every day of the rest of their lives that they won’t live. It looked like a statue because it evolved with a perfect defense. When anyone looks at it the angel becomes quantum locked. It becomes stone and you can’t kill a stone.” Xander explained.

“So where are Jack and Teal’c?” Daniel asked as he made Sam lower her gun.

“They were transported into their home planet’s past at some point once I drop you two off on earth I am going after them.” Xander told them firmly.

“Why would you go after them?” asked Daniel.

“Because I’m the only one who can trace the energy field that sent them back, Without me you might possible never find them.”

“We’re coming with you.” Sam told him firmly.

Xander looked over at the controls. Taking a minute to think it over.

“Fine but remember follow my lead and hold on because this is going to be on hell of a ride.” Xander smirked as he pulled a leaver and the jolted as the ship headed back towards earth of the past.
