: You know what they say, first impressions last forever. And boy, did she leave a helluva impression. A small ficlet based on Faith’s backstory. Prequel of sorts to “Too hot to handle...” **Part of the August Fic-A-Day challenge**+++
Dean had really thought he was going to get through this without making a single smart ass comment. Seriously, he hadn’t said anything the whole car ride over from upstate New York to Boston, and he had had a helluva lot of opportunities.
Now, though, he knew it wasn’t going to happen. He just couldn’t resist, not when he and his father were watching Pastor Jim
of all people doing the walk of shame from the steps of the police station over to them.
“So, he was trying to check her for injuries? That’s really the story he wants to go with?” he grinned.
Not too surprisingly, he received a smack upside the head less than a second later.
“Mind your manners, boy,” John said gruffly.
Dean immediately shut his mouth, but he couldn’t completely erase the smirk, not right away. So what if the guy had the power to bless holy objects, or if he was as good as family in Dean’s book? Pastor Jim got arrested for hugging a naked
chick in public
. You couldn’t make that shit up.
He even felt bad that Sam was missing out on this – well, he would’ve
, anyway, if his younger brother hadn’t begged to stay back to do some studying or lame shit like that.
Just then, Pastor Jim closed the final few steps between them, and Dean finally smothered the last few traces of amusement. It wasn’t like he was totally disrespectful.
“Thank you, John, Dean,” Pastor Jim said – somewhat sheepishly – as he held out his hand to each of them. “I have to admit, I’m a bit embarrassed by the whole situation. And while I’m here visiting another parish, no less.”
John gave the outstretched hand a firm, friendly shake. “Not a problem. We were in the area anyway,” he replied. Then he took another step closer, lowering his voice as he continued to speak. “Why did you think we’d want to be here?”
Dean gave a start at this. He hadn’t known that part. Not that his father told him stuff like that anyway.
Pastor Jim looked around to make sure no one was listening. “The girl took out half a dozen vampires as if she were swatting flies,” he whispered. Then he turned red. “With just a stake and... nothing else.”
Startled, Dean let out a laugh. “You can’t be serious,” he exclaimed. “One chick against how many vamps? Naked?”
Pastor Jim and his father ignored him, though, exchanging a significant looks as they communicated silently. Dean frowned, wondering what the hell it meant.
Both Winchesters and Pastor Jim turned toward the voice; Dean’s eyes almost fell out of his head when he saw the source. One of the hottest chicks he had seen in, well, ever
, was swaggering toward them, a small smirk on her lips. She marched right up to Pastor Jim and held out a black jacket. A very familiar looking black jacket.
“Thanks for this. Riding bare ass in the cop car would’ve sucked,” she said.
Even though she was talking to Pastor Jim, her eyes were glued to Dean.
Dean returned the look, his eyes freely roaming over her from head to toe. This
was the naked chick? Un-freaking-believable. There wasn't a damn thing about her he didn't like.
He whipped around to stare at Pastor Jim. Dude was the luckiest sonnuvabitch ever.
He had to wonder what was going through the pastor’s mind when it was all going down – or up. Seriously, it wasn’t like the guy was a priest or something, sworn to celibacy. And this chick? She was what wet dreams were made of. And
she was eyeing him like she thought the same about him.
Just his luck he was standing in between his father and a fucking minister of God.
“You’re welcome. And thank you for rescuing us,” Pastor Jim said carefully. “Perhaps we could talk about what happened?”
The girl gave a snort of amusement. “Nah, I’m good with that. I gotta book. My... guardian’s here,” she explained, gesturing to a well-dressed woman who was obviously waiting for her by the steps of the station.
Then, with one last look at Dean, the girl turned around and sauntered away, her hips swaying back and forth as she did.
Dean blew out his breath appreciatively, even though he knew it would earn him another smack on the back of his head. When it didn’t come, he looked at his father questioningly.
To his surprise, he saw that John was staring at the girl, too – with a really troubled look on his face.
“You think she’s...” his father trailed off.
Pastor Jim nodded. “She has to be,” he confirmed. Then he glanced at Dean, who had gone back to watching the girl’s ass. “Son, she would eat you alive.”
Dean grinned. “Exactly!” he replied cheekily. “Ow!”
Scowling, he rubbed the spot on his head where his father had just whacked him. At the same time, the girl finally disappeared around the corner.
Dean gave a rueful sigh. Okay, yeah, he totally got Pastor Jim’s point. That girl screamed danger and would probably be the death of him.
, what a way to go.+++
