"Well, looks like this is it," the dark-haired youth with the wire-framed glasses said to his companions as they sat in the rental car they'd hired in Los Angeles, staring at the quiet residential home across the street from where they were parked.

"I suppose I shouldn't put this off any longer," he said as he took a deep breath.

"There's really nothing that you should be worried about, Harry," the young redheaded woman sitting next to him in the front seat said in what was clearly intended to be an encouraging voice.

"Yeah, mate. Like Ginny said, it's not like she can hold you responsible for not coming to find her any earlier than you have," the tall, gangly redhead seated directly behind the driver chime in. "You only found out about her three months ago, remember?"

"Ron's right, Harry, the brunette seated next to the redheaded youth agreed with an equally encouraging smile. "If Gringotts hadn't provide you with the contents of Dumbledore's vault, and we hadn't discovered her birth records among his papers, you would never have even been aware that you had a sister, and it's taken us this long to trace her down.

"Dumbledore went to great length to make sure that no one was aware of her birth," she reminded the Man-Who-Triumphed of their ostensible mentor's manipulations.

"Altering the Ministry's birth records, obliviating Sirius' and Remus' memories and arranging for Rose to be smuggled out of the country and adopted by a family in the States here took a great deal of time, money and effort," she pointed out. "I still don't understand why he went to such lengths to hide your sister, instead of simply killing her, but since he did, you now at least have the chance to finally reunite with her.

"You just have to get out of the car, cross the street, ring the bell and introduce yourself," the distaff part of the Golden Trio said.

"I know, Hermione," Harry Potter sighed as he kept observing the front windows of the house in question.

"This may sound strange, but for me, even thinking about doing this is scarier than facing off against Voldemort at Godric's Hollow was," he confessed.

"We're here for you, Harry," Ginny said as she reached out to take his hand and give it a reassuring squeeze. "Take as long as you need. None of us are in any hurry."

Giving the all three of his companions a weak smile of appreciation, Harry merely nodded.

After a seemingly interminable period of time, Harry finally nodded, took a deep breath and opened the car.

Accompanied by his friends, he made his way up to the front door and hesitantly rang the doorbell.

When the summons was finally answered by a redheaded young woman, an equally young blonde girl and a dark-haired young man, all of whom looked to be a year or so younger than the group, Harry uncertainly asked, "Willow Rosenberg?"

"Yes?" the redhead confirmed. "Who are you?"

"My name is Harry Potter, and Amy Madison's father said she was staying here with you," came the answer.

"I need to talk to her about some family business…"
