A Different Prophecy Fulfilled
Summary: **Part of ‘Prophecies Fulfilled’ series** Trelawney’s prophecy was referring to a different dark lord and the one who would kill him. *Bonus ficlet for twisted shorts*
Challenge: none, just Musie’s twisted mind.
Timeline: pre-movies for both SW and HP.
Warning: just a goofy thought I had.
A/N: I’m not a Star Wars geek, so things could be AU.

"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches
Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies
And the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not
And either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives
The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies."

As Trelawney’s focus cleared – relatively speaking for she was still as blind as a bat – Dumbledore began to plan Voldemort’s defeat that the hands of a child not yet born.
What he didn’t realize was that the prophecy hadn’t been about the Wizarding World’s dark lord. Nobody would realize that until two months later when Voldemort tripped over the house elf, Dobby, and fell into the Malfoy’s fireplace, cracking his skull open and killing him instantly.
A long time ago…
In a galaxy far, far away
On the planet of Naboo, Palpatine glared at the birth announcement for Padmé Naberrie. Because he had worked behind the scenes, her wretched parents had no way of knowing they had ruined his plans three times in the past year to make changes in the government of Naboo.
Oh well, he was nothing if not patient. Because he was a Sith Lord, he would easily outlive these pathetic creatures. ‘And…’
he thought with an evil smile, ‘…if he managed to befriend them, he could hold great power over the Princess when she was old enough to assume her role as Queen.’
So that’s what he did. For the next decade, Palpatine worked hard to become a sort of mentor to the young princess.
And that is how he came to be in their house on the night of his appointment to the Republic Senate as Naboo’s newest Senator. Padmé wanted to celebrate by cooking him a traditional recipe of their people. Only she made one small substitution.
Unfortunately, that substitution was one that proved deadly to Palpatine. Nobody knew about his allergy because he refused to appear weak in any way to others. Padmé was heartbroken at her mentor’s death, but her parents helped her realize that she couldn’t have known so it wasn’t truly her fault.
A/N: It’s fun messing with prophecies like this.
