Buffy Finds Out
A*N*- Once again, I own nothing.....
Buffy came in the front door and saw Dawn sitting on the couch reading a book.
"There you are, jeez, we've been looking all over for you. What happened to Xander?"
Dawn glanced at her sister.
"He's in the basement. Why, do you wish to speak to him?"
Buffy frowned at her sister's wierd speech patterns. She could've sworn that the brunette had a slight English accent and since when did she speak so properly all the time?
"Yeah, do you remember anything about tonight, Dawn?"
The brunette smirked.
"Like the fact that you're the Slayer? That Mr. Giles is your Watcher? Yes, Alexander confirmed it all for me. Though it was Willow who spilled the beans, so to speak."
Buffy's mouth dropped open. Dawn sighed and looked around before calling out to the Nosferatu in the basement.
Xander's now taller form rose out of the floor. He had taken the red trench coat off and was just wearing a black vest over a white button down and black slacks. He smirked in Buffy's direction before looking directly at Dawn.
"You called Mistress?"
Buffy saw the blood red eyes and Xander's fangs and had a stake out immediately.
"Dawn, get away from him."
The brunette glanced at her, saw the stake, then rolled her eyes.
"Why? You wanted to talk to him, here he is, talk. Stop interrupting my reading."
Buffy moved forward in a flash and Xander didn't bother to dodge. He grunted when the stake broke through his rib cage and pierced his heart. Buffy's eyes widened when he did nothing but smirk at her.
"Was that supposed to accomplish something, Buffy?"
The blond looked up at her best friend and released the stake.
"Why...aren't you dust?"
"I'm nothing like the weak revenant scum that inhabits the Hellmouth. I am a true Nosferatu, it will take a lot more than a stake to kill me."
He reached up and pulled the stake out of his heart and the wound healed along with the hole in his vest and shirt. Buffy swallowed.
"What is a Nosferatu?"
Dawn sighed, she was never going to finish her book.
" A Nosferatu is a true vampire, they keep their souls, unlike the revenants. As far as differences in power, Alexander will know better than I, what the differences there are."
Xander snorted and did not volunteer any information.
"So you're still Xander?"
The dark haired vampire nodded.
"For the most part, yes. A little of Alucard's personality has seeped into my own, but I'm otherwise unchanged. Aside from being dead."
Buffy nodded and looked between him and Dawn.
"I want your word that you will not hurt my sister."
Xander's eyes widened slightly and he grinned viciously. Dawn glared at him.
"Very well, you have my word Slayer."
Dawn rolled her eyes again. This was entirely too troublesome.
"He couldn't hurt me if he wanted to Buffy, he's sworn to me."
Buffy looked confused, but Dawn did not want to entertain any more questions.
"I'm going to bed. Alexander either entertain yourself outside with the revenants or go back down to the basement. You will not stay up here and terrorize my mother or my sister."
Xander bowed mockingly.
"As you wish Mistress."
He sunk down into the floor giving Buffy one last vicious looking grin. Buffy turned to find Dawn already at the top of the stairs a black hyena-looking dog with blood red eyes trailing at her heels.
Buffy sat down on the couch and ran her fingers through her blonde hair.
"I need to talk to Giles about this..."
She went upstairs to change and left back out of the front door, heading for Giles' apartment.
