"The flesh surrenders itself." he thought. "Eternity takes back its own. Our bodies stirred these waters briefly, danced with a certain intoxication before the love of life and self, dealt with a few strange ideas, then submitted to the instruments of Time. What can we say of this? I occurred. I am not . . . yet, I occurred."
Paul Muad'Dib Atreides
The rein of the Black Dragon was over. Within hours the Fish Speakers had declared planet wide martial law. They studied the surveillance footage of the planet and refused the evidence of their own eyes. The planet itself had been both cracked and healed within moments. The Fishspeakers encrypted all records of what happened. They remained silent concerning the last days of the emperor.
Dracula returned Liam’s body to stiech Kindle. Buffy grieved over him. In the freman way they extracted his moisture. Liam gave forty liters of water to the tribe. They buried his body in the desert. Jacurutu was gone. The Imperial palace was in shambles. One by one the women either joined the scoobies in the fight against evil or went home to start normal lives. Within a hundred years they were nothing more than myth. Their names were only whispered in moments of extreme stress or prayed to silently in the Church of Saint Lucillia. Two hundred years later no one even remembered they existed.
Surayya Atreides was last seen in deep space headed in the direction of the Boomerang Nebula.
Buffy stood with the Fishspeakers for awhile. She helped them capture and kill the forces unleashed by Sahjhan. After a while she left them. She needed her freedom. Buffy, Willow and Dracula became a team. They did a lot of good. One day Willow came to her with a smile on her face.
“You are not alone.” She said. “There are other slayers in the galaxy. Not everyone was on Arrakis.” Buffy was pleased. The Bene Slayer School was established in less than twenty years.
One day Willow came to her. She said it was time to go home. Willow still wore her hair short and her stilsuit when they were on Arrakis. She gave Buffy a long hug goodbye then performed the ritual of return. Moments later she was back in her home in her time. The jump through time had drained her. Spike caught her before she collapsed.
Dracula was with her three hundred years before he was called to the synchronized worlds to act as the organic interface for the slayerverse.
“That’s it. We are finished here.” Buffy said to Dracula one night before he left for the machine world. Buffy had accompanied him. “Our age is over.” She had said to him as they stood on the main deck of the “Crysknife” under the red, yellow and greens of a billion stars.
“Is this the end?” Dracula asked her. “Your numbers are few. For your kind, is this the end of days?”
Buffy smiled. She knew that there were hundreds of slayers scattered throughout the galaxy.
“Slayers are forever.” She said. Buffy took his arm and accompanied him down to the planet.
