: Buffy, Joss'. She-Hulk, Marvel's.A/N
: As promised, since none of my detractors were willing to put up any of their own words, I'm going to close down this particular story. I may decide to revisit it later. I do want to thank the authors that contributed. So, with no further ado...
Giles drove like a maniac in his aged Citroen, at times almost approaching the speed limit. Everywhere that he tested, chaos magic still existed. With a charm, he had the direction to the disturbance. Once he reached what he believed to be the center, he got out of his car, ran to the nearest pay phone, and rang Willa and Xandra. "I seem to have found the reason that I was kept in hospital," he said. "Could you come right away?" After hearing their assent, he hung up and looked around. The sight was astonishing. All around the...ranch that he had been pointed to, there was a multitude of cows, with what appeared to be plastic - pipes? connecting the area just under their tails to various points on the ground. He was so shocked that he didn't hear someone come up behind him, turn him around, and knee him in the gonads.
"Hello, Ripper." Ethan Rayne smiled as he delivered a kick to Giles' head that sent the Watcher into the land of Nod. Having done that, he turned around, just as Xandra and Willa landed on the flat ground in front of him. Smiling, he took two objects from his pocket and waved them in front of each of the She-Hulks. "You are getting sleepy. Very, very sleepy." Seeing both forms slump to the ground, he pocketed the Twinkie and crystal. "A shame that you won't see my ingenious plan for transporting you two to the Sun, but as the Powers told me that it was either me or you, well, you can guess my choice." He bent down to the mechanism for storing the methane he'd harvested from the cows, and turned it off, then ran to the bunker he had made nearby, picking up the detonator on the way. Once inside, he counted down. "Three, two, one." He pressed the button and covered his ears.
A rumbling louder than a hundred freight trains sounded, as the platform under Willa and Xandra lifted into space, when in just a few short hours, they would be deposited into the Sun's corona, ending their lives. "Sad, but, as I said, it was me or you."
Whistling a jaunty tune, Ethan Rayne headed for the nearest transportation out of town.
