Skippy staggered to his feet wondering where nice mistress had vanished to.

As thoats weren't particularly deep thinkers but even he was kind of confused what had happened the last few day. Leave friends and potential mates in pen in middle of dark time. Run all over stone place. Be put in small corral with friend thoat. Stay there until nice mistress came back. Go riding off with nice mistress all through dark time then bright time. Only get to sleep a little.

Keep riding after sleep then after another bright time get to sleep some more. Wake up and realize that there wasn't enough sleep so fall down.

Nice mistress and her herd had left along with other thoat friend. What was Skippy to do now?
