Good Eats part 2

Xander sighed as he stared at his reflection in the mirror. His skin had gotten a little paler but his muscle tone was way more defined than it had been in the past. Something that was an odd contradiction in California.

While he didn't mind it, he hadn't really put in the effort for this change to happen. So something else was doing it.

He'd worry about it later.

Ever since he started working on the Echinda House, his social life had done an abrupt one-eighty. Tonight he had a date with a pretty blond named Marilyn Munster. She was one of the shyest girls at the Echidna House. Where some of the others had been more forward and fun, Marilyn was just... Marilyn.

He'd have to see how it would go.

That night...

“Shh.” Xander said before scooping Marilyn up in his arms and jumping twenty feet up onto a dorm's balcony. The two teens watched a group of masked commandos patrol the area they had just been standing in.

“Who were those guys?” Marilyn asked him.

“I don't know.” Xander said quietly. “But whoever they are, they can't be good.”

“What do you think they want?” Marilyn asked .

“I don't know. But I'm going to find out.” Xander promised her. “But first, I think we need to get down from here.”

“Or we could make out.” Marilyn offered.

“Yeah. Let's do that.” Xander grinned.

A few weeks later....

“What have you been doing in your off time?” Buffy asked Xander after she had watched him backhand a Polgara demon through a rather thick tombstone.

“This and that.” Xander said as he adjusted his shoulder length hair. It had been growing rather quickly and picked up a soft curl lately. He'd have to start putting it in a ponytail or something. “Not sure when it happened exactly but I'm not complaining.”

“I can see that. Magic Wheaties?” Buffy asked. “Or is there some demon blood we need to get out of your system?”

“I still don't know Buffy.” Xander shrugged. “All I can tell you is that I like the change. Now if you don't mind, I have a date to get to.”

“With Cindy?” Buffy asked.

“No, Tina.” Xander grinned.

“Cindy's roommate? Are you crazy?” Buffy asked. “You know they're like sisters, I don't want you turning into another Parker.”

“First of all, they're cousins.” Xander told his friend. “Secondly, I'm no Parker. I call the next day, or I sleep over.”

“You've turned into such a man-skank, you know that right?” Buffy sighed.

Xander shrugged. “The girls are pretty okay with it.” He told Buffy. “I use protection and so far no one's been hurt.”

Granted he'd almost been turned to stone when Madeline had lost a contact lens but they'd remedied that with a some fun blindfold time. But Buffy didn't need to know either of those things.

Or that just about everyone in the Echidna House was technically a monster. Buffy didn't need to know that seeing as how she was dating Riley, one of the captains of the local demon rustlers.

There was no way he was going to let one of his girls get caught by those bastards.

Once he was strong enough and he had enough explosives, those guys were going down.

Until then, his girls weren't going out after dark. So he had to bring the fun to them.

As well as some take out from 'Frump's Fried Foods'. The girls, much like him enjoyed the food from there.

He still needed to thank Pugsley for the recommendation. Until then, he had a date with Tina and then one with Marilyn, the normal one. Following that he had rounds with the entire population of the basement.

Whatever was in the food, he certainly wasn't complaining. Neither were the girls.
