Just like Maxwell House.... good to the last drop?
I don't own Buffy the Vampire Slayer or any of the characters within. The Immortal concept in this one is taken from the Highlander genre and was originally created by Gregory Widen.

Sometime During Season 5 before things got weird....
“Hey Ahn?” Xander called as he entered their shared apartment. “Funny thing happened at work today.”
“Oh? What's that sweetie?” Anya called from their bedroom.
“Oh you know the usual. Frank sneezed while operating a forklift and I ended up getting impaled through the heart with it.” Xander said as she came out into the living room.
“Uh-oh.” Anya said as she stopped at and looked at Xander with a 'deer in the headlights look' on her face.
“Funny thing though. First I thought I blacked out. Then it turns out I had actually died. Larry tells me there was all sorts of little bolts of lightning around the wound. Once they stopped I woke up. Care to tell me anything hon? Something you may have neglected to mention?”
“I can explain.” Anya said. “You see... you aren't exactly a normal human.”
“I get that. I do. What happened?” Xander said flatly.
“You're a foundling. One of the Immortals. You're part of a race that's been around for a long time. Beheading is the only real way to kill you. You're part of a celestial war game between good and bad immortals. You're also the reason I came back to Sunnydale.” Anya told him.
“How's that exactly?” Xander asked.
“I didn't exactly get turned into a human when my power center was destroyed.” Anya explained. “D'Hoffryn is all about vengeance and punishments. His punishment for me losing my power was to turn me into a different kind of demon.” Anya said. “One that does pretty much the opposite of what I did before.”
“Meaning what?” Xander said as he stared at his not quite fiancee. “What kind of demon are you Ahn?”
Anya muttered something.
“Say what now?” Xander said. “I didn't quite catch that.”
“I said I'm a Succubus.” Anya ground out. “I need sex and the life force from men to survive.”
“So I take it all the times I've 'blacked out' during sex were times when you've killed me.” Xander said. He was starting to get a little angry.
“Well... yes.” Anya said with a frown. “I need to eat to live Xander. You're by far the best food source I can get that doesn't involve random sex and murder.”
“No, you've just been killing me on a daily basis, sometimes more than once since you came back to town.” Xander said.
“You always had a smile on your face.” Anya told him. “If that helps.”
“It kinda does.” Xander admitted. “But hey, I haven't been blacking out as much lately.”
“That's part of the whole immortal thing.” Anya said. “The older you are or in your case the more often you die, the stronger your life force becomes.”
“So... I'm just some sort of Buffet for you? One that's been getting bigger as time goes on?” Xander asked her.
“Umm... kinda?” Anya. “But hey, you're the only guy I've been with since I came back to town. For being a Succubus that's pretty impressive.”
“That's not very reassuring.” Xander told her. “Wait... I remember reading about Succubi in high school. Aren't you supposed to appear as a man's ideal partner or something?”
“Xander you were an inexperienced male that was under twenty when I came back to town.” Anya told him as if she was talking to a small child. “The main requirement in your mind's eye was 'no fatties'. Other than that, pretty much anyone willing to have sex with you was your ideal woman.”
“Oh.” Xander said before pausing. “Well you're not wrong. The thing is, can you change shape now? If so that could take role playing to a whole other level.”
“So you're not mad?” Anya asked.
“Oh I'm pissed. I'm gonna spank the hell out of you.” Xander grinned. “But, it would be better if you were wearing a Catholic Schoolgirl outfit and had slightly larger breasts at the same time.'
“So we're okay?” Anya asked him.
“For now.” Xander agreed. “So can you change shape?”
“I can keep feeding on you till I suck you dry?” Anya asked him.
“Has that ever stopped you before?” Xander countered.
“Fair point.” Anya agreed. “Do you want me to look like anyone in particular?”
“Well... I've got a couple of ideas.” Xander grinned. “Fair's fair after all.”
