When Willow Failed.

A/N: I have no ownership of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. This is written solely for entertainment purposes.

"So, we're all ready?" Buffy spoke up, as she wiped a cloth across the Slayer Scythe. The rest of the Scoobies were with her for this one.

"Yep, we're only waiting for one more sign, then the Portals will open, and the demon army will come through." Dawn put down the book she was holding.

"Indeed. The last sign will appear, and we will have approximately 10 minutes to prepare for the Portals to open." Giles was, as expected, wiping his glasses.

Xander looked out the window, then his eyes widened. "Oh, crap. We've got a problem, guys."

"What's up, X-man?" Faith was stretching her muscles swinging the Troll Hammer.

"Uh, the plan was to get Willow to set up a mystic roadblock, right? Only, she has to be out there to do it, right?"

"Yes, which is why she's sitting out there, meditating in the circle."

"Yeah, um, did any of you guys ever figure out what that last sign was?"

"Yes, it was a rain of lizards." Robin spoke up.

"Not lizards. I'm thinking maybe they meant amphibians, not lizards. Which means, as soon as Willow either opens her eyes, or gets hit, she isn't going to be available."

The rest looked at him odd.

"The last sign - it's raining frogs out there people."
