Dreams Do Come True

by Nopporn Wongrassamee the Evil Author

{1998, Sunnydale}

"What's up?" Angel asked. Buffy had decided to visit him this
morning right before she had to go to school. And while he loved
to see Buffy, something must be wrong for her to come in the
morning.

"Uh..." Buffy hesitated. "I...I had this...dream that Drusilla was
alive."

Okay, this did not sound good. "What happened?" Angel asked
concerned.

"She killed you," Buffy told him. "Right in front of me."

Ouch. Angel tried to reassure her. "It was just a dream, he said,
brushing his hand tenderly against her cheek." It wasn't real."

"Angel, th...this happened before," Buffy insisted, not reassured
at all. "The dreams that I had about the Master, they came true."

Okay, Buffy's worries were starting to make Angel worry, too. He
didn't let it reach his face though. "Still, not every dream you
have comes true. I mean, what else did you dream last night? Can
you remember?" Angel asked, still trying to reassure Buffy.

"I dreamt...I dreamt that Giles and I opened an office supply
warehouse in Vegas," Buffy told him, somewhat embarrased.

"See what I mean?"

"Yeah, I...I do," said Buffy relieved.

{2008 Las Vegas}

"I still don't like this plan," Giles grumbled.

"Giles, it's totally unconventional," Buffy replied, "Afterall,
what demon would expect this? AND we have an endless supply of
potential stakes if a random vampire decides to show up." She
held up a packet of pencils and a wooden ruler.

"Still..."

"Giles, you came up with this plan. The demon will take the bait
sooner or later," Buffy said confidently. "After all, who else in
this town has a bigger pile of office supplies than we do?"

With that, Buffy went to the front door. Just as she turned the key
on the lock, she was hit with a sudden case of deja vu. She shrugged
it off, unable to pinpoint the cause. The Summers and Giles Office
Supply Warehouse was now open for business.
