A/N: Hey everyone, and welcome to the Lost and Found Series! This story, although it comes first in the order of events, is more of a prequel. So if you're new to the series, it might be a little confusing at first because the BtVs characters won't be making an appearance until quite a few chapters into the story.

At any rate, thank you for taking the time to have a look and read the story :).

1. Introductions

She looked so scared standing in the middle of the crowd of first years, her head hung low and her arms wrapped around her body as if she wanted nothing more than to hide.

Remus knew all too well that fear, he'd felt it on his first day too. He smiled and gave her a small wave from across the room, and as their eyes met her face turned upwards into a brilliant smile, her fear all but forgotten.

One by one the first year students were being called up to the front by Professor McGonagall, who asked them to sit on a small stool and then placed the sorting hat on their heads. The crowd was getting smaller with each name that was pulled out and the other students cheered as their new members joined them.

Eventually her name was called.

"Lupin, Isabella."

She jumped slightly before stepping up to the professor and hopping onto the stool. The sorting hat was placed on her head and she squirmed as it slipped down her face to cover her eyes completely. It took a few moments, but the hat roared as it said 'GRYFFINDOR' and the entire Gryffindor table cheered for her as she hopped back down and ran over to the table.

Remus laid back in his seat so that she would see him, and sure enough seconds later she was at his side, squeezing into a tiny gap between Remus and one of the new first years that had earlier been seated.

"Remmy! I'm so glad I'm in Gryffindor! I thought for a moment that hat would place me in Slytherin." She said excitedly.

Remus tried to ignore his friends laughter at the nickname, and placed his arms around his sister to hug her to him. "Of course you would be in Gryffindor."

"Well... I think some introductions are in order here." James said from his seat opposite them. Although they kept their voices low, they were meant to be watching the rest of the sorting ceremony after all.

"Oh, well this is my sister, Isabella." He replied, gesturing to her at his side and then to his friends. "And this is James, Sirius and Peter."

She took in their appearances, James with his tangled mess of hair, Sirius with his charming smile and Peter with his shy, almost awkward position.

"Hi, I actually guessed you might be. Remmy has told me all about you three." She said as she gave her brother a sly look, and he instantly knew that that nickname was going to stay with him wherever he went now.

His friends were trying their best not to laugh. Perhaps their third year at Hogwarts wouldn't be so boring after all.
