Natasha threw Gungnir at the two hundred and eighty foot Dawn. He grew to proportion until she caught him.

"Wha..?" Dawn looked down in surprise at the Golden Spear. "What are you doing?" she asked Gungnir.

Dawn looked at Ymir. He was in the process of creating an ice spear of his own. "YOU BASTARD!" she screamed at the spear. She so hated manipulators.

Dawn had no choice but to use the spear to parry the thrust. The two giants fought in from for the assembled might of two nations.

The Asgardians cheered for her and the Ice Giants cheered for their God and progenitor.

"Your spear has a death wish." Xander told Odin.

"You are quite possibly correct. He has been out of my hands for too long. He has no direction. I apologize for his actions."

Those Asgardians listening goggled at their Leader's apology. Odin was humbling himself in front of another. This has never been done in their memory.

"I accept your apology. I doubt the spear will survive this encounter."

"You may be right." Odin agreed.

"God damn Powers that Be..." Xander fumed. This was another example of the bastards fingers in the pie.

"I see that you are aware if Those Who Sit Above in Shadow." Orin's disgust at the shadowy powers was plain to see.

"You too, huh. I thought it was just us lucky mortals." He chuckled. Their was no joy in it.

"Us as well. There will come a time for reckoning. That I promise." Odin gave his word.

"I believe you, and I accept. I take it you are shielding us..."

Odin snorted in amusement.

"Had to check. Can't let them know in advance. I'm not that sporting..."

Odin laughed, "Neither am I Alexander. Neither am I."

Dawn and the pissed off Giant clashed in the middle of the bridge. They went back and forth. Testing for strength, speed and skill.

Ymir had the strength. Dawn the speed and they both were even on the skill. With a slight edge to Dawn. She was fully awake, Ymir wasn't.

"I'd move your armies back..." Xander observed.

"...I agree." Odin saw the same thing Xander had after the two exchanged blows.

"Not enough room!" They said together.

Odin laughed. He's really Jord's Champion. He knew his business.

"Tyr. Let's give them room to settle this contest of arms properly. Back to the field."

"As you command my Lord Odin!" Tyr went ahead and started the orderly withdrawal of the armies. It took a few minutes to accomplish, with the last units going first, and the First Army giving them cover.

The Ice Giants thought that the cowardly Asgardians were running away. They started to shout and edge forward around the battle trying to get at the fleeing dogs.

"After them." Someone called, and a few heeded the call and ran between the true giants legs.

However not many made it from that wave. A few were trampled, and other were pushed of the bridge.

The Asgardians made a tactical mistake at this point...they laughed.

"Oh shit!" Xander saw how that changed the mood of the other side. "Shit. Shit. Shitty-shit-shit!"

"That is not quite elegant, but true." Odin agreed.

"Stark! Back to the field as fast as you can. Set up a fire base on the left side..." While Tony and JARVIS piloted the emergency escape vehicle to the other side of the left bank of the bridge Xander asked Odin, "Do you have any kind of fire support you can add to the right bank?"

Odin nodded his head, "Tyr set it up please."

"Right away my Lord Odin!" He was not a happy war god, 'Who does this outlander think he is. This is my war! Why is Lord Odin listening to this stranger?' He grumbled silently, but carried out his orders none the less.
