The birth of Spike

Through the garden, the fair green garden,
Fair princess Celestia was walking -
She stepped upon ferocious Discord.
Ferocious Discord wrapped around
Around the slippers made of gold,
Around the white flanks,
Swings his trunk around the tail.
At that time the princess conceived
She conceived and sometime later gave birth:
And there was light in the sky –
And in Canterlot a brave young knight was born,
The young dragon Spike.
The ground shook,
The kingdom of Equestria shook all over,
The wide blue sea became all foamy,
To commemorate the noble birth,
The birth of young Spike.*
The fish dived in the depths,
The birds flew high into the sky,
The aurochs and the deer hid beyond the mountains,
The hares, the foxes into woodlands,
And the wolves, the bears, into darker forests,
The sables, the martens – onto the islands...**
Spike began to mature and grow,
Spike has learned many tricks:
To swim like the pike fish
In the blue sea,
Wander like the gray wolf through the dark forests,
Like the roan bull with golden horns through the fields,
Like a fair falcon beneath the clouds...****Luna took photos like an obedient little sister did and kept the running commentary to a minimum.
**And that's why Equestria is inhabited mainly just by talking ponies and an occassional zebra.
