A/n: For those wondering I forgot to mention that Indiana Jones was online using Joyce's e-mail and Library card around 2am, so yes the time frame is still close enough that it doesn't matter that much with my wording.

Giles had passed out from the transformation and woken up many hours later with a splitting headache, wanting very much to throw-up, and for some strange reason the term ^regeneration sickness^ kept popping into his head. As he gripped his head he noticed a shop sticker still on the inside wrist cuff of his costume and, after reading it, growled. "Ethan!" Ignoring his pain he got up and headed for the shop. As he walked he noticed that many, most really, of the Doctor's self specific memories were fading or disappearing entirely.

"There must have only been enough power to make me a timelord and give me the basics permanently, everything else is temporary. Bother. Does that mean I can regenerate? Or am I stuck with just the one body? I hope I don't have to find out." Giles grumbled as he approached the shop. "There's going to be hell to pay when I get my hands on you Ethan!"

As Giles made his way into the shop he didn't really think that he'd find his old mate still there as it had clearly been hours since the spell had been broken. So, he was surprised and just a bit worried for Xander's sake when he found both Ethan and Xander in the back room of the shop. Xander was still lying unconscious on the couch as Ethan stood over him having paused in his pacing to look toward the doorway when he'd heard the chime as Giles entered the shop.

Ethan could clearly see both the anger and worry in Rupert's eyes. He quickly raised his hands in a gesture of surrender and for good measure knelt on the floor facing Giles. "He's not hurt but the chaos magic changed him. He's not a normal human anymore, he's a furyan." Ethan quickly informed his old friend.

"Like the character he went as for Halloween?" Giles asked startled.

"Yes. Riddick is also the only reason I'm not already gone. He's coming here for you, me, and the boy. Or at least that's what he said while he was still possessing the boy just before he ordered me to end the spell, that and to collect the boy as well as for the two of us to move in with you." Ethan told him hurriedly. "I'm not completely daft so I obeyed him."

Giles strode over to where Ethan still knelt on the floor next to the couch, once again reminded why he was angry with Ethan, and grabbed him by his hair, controlling his head and forced him to look up into Giles' now blazing eyes. "If you're lying..."

Ethan shivered. "You've both made it abundantly clear that running isn't an option and that this prank was a completely daft idea." Ethan winced as Giles' fingers tightened even farther in his hair. "And how could you miss the marks on the boy when you noticed mine?" Ethan demanded angrily jerking his head out of Giles' suddenly slack grip.

"Wha?" Giles asked blankly looking back and forth between the unconscious boy and kneeling man. Looking at the two of them side by side helped the bits and pieces of information that he had been unconsciously gathering to click into place and a sudden look of utter fury replaced the blank one he'd had only moments before. Giles turned to stomp out the door and have a little chat with Mr. and Mrs. Harris until he heard Xander groan drawing the attention of both men.

Giles bit back his temper and forced himself to calm down. It wouldn't do Xander any good to wake up and see his fury, no matter how deserving the true targets were. He turned back and stood next to the couch starting to check Xander over as he should have done upon finding his charge in such a state in the first place. Ethan on the other hand, having already checked Xander and found little that he could do anything about and nothing that needed immediate attention got up and went to make tea with his electric kettle.

"At least now I know that that daft story about one of my ancestors falling through a hole in the air wasn't just a story. How he managed that and gained the second set of memories he told me about as a boy I don't think I'll ever know. Its almost as if my great-grandfather fell through and somehow merged with his double on this side of the dimensional wall..." Giles muttered to himself as he examined Xander going still as he finished his line of trans-dimensional thought. "Bloody hell! That sneaky old bugger. He's both the one from the Doctor's universe and the one from this one. They must have used a spell or something and merged. If the old git wasn't already dead... Ah, well it doesn't really matter now."

"Ethan, we need to move to my flat. It isn't safe to bunk down in here and using magic to secure this shop is out of the question after such a major chaos working." Giles told Ethan as he was handed a cup of tea.

"Did you find anything on the boy that I missed?" Ethan asked nodding in acknowledgement as he stood next to Giles with his own cup and looked down at Xander still lying on the couch.

*sigh* "Nothing of any real note. I can tell you that he's not going back to that house except to retrieve his things and when he does we'll be going along to ^assist^." Giles told him grimly. "And while you are under my roof unless it is an emergency there will be no chaos magic. Is that perfectly clear?" Giles gave Ethan a Ripper glare.

Ethan gulped and nodded vigorously. "Good." Giles said satisfied. "Now lets get Xander to my flat. I'd get my car but its almost not even worth it. I do hope that we wont have any more complications from your little ^prank^, otherwise I will have to find a way to punish you. Perhaps you'll spar with Buffy for a week without padding? Or you'll pay for the next week's worth of dinners for the children? You'll get a beating from me regardless. We'll just have to see."

Ethan decided that this time he really didn't want there to be any extra chaos from his prank as he helped Giles carry Xander back to Giles' home.
