Chapter One

Mystic Falls, Virgina
1864

It was late at night and the moon was almost at its peak, the silence was almost deafening... Almost if you weren't a Vampire and that's what the blonde man watching as a Werewolf and her human lover quarrelled over the most amazing thing, she was with child and even with the love he had shown for her he had refused to believe it calling her a whore and his unborn child the devils spawn before leaving, not soon after a witch emerging from the bushes with a her head bowed "I waned you that this may be the outcome malady" But the young naive Werewolf ignored her and ran away.

Nine months later on the outskirts of Mystic Falls in a small cave did the beta give birth to a daughter, a daughter who was prophesied to be the undoing of the Original Vampires, and so they watched over the child as she grew into a young women.
It was at the age of eighteen when the girl left home to travel did they strike. She wasn't what they had expected, the young wolf wasn't string, didn't fight back, and the lack of response quickly indicated to them that she had not broken the curse yet. So doing the unimaginable the eldest of them gave the girl with long dark hair and bright blue eyes his blood before snapping her neck and leaving her in the middle of the woods to through the transition alone.
Knowing along with his siblings that with her Werewolf blood once she killed she would not become a Hybrid but she would slowly die a painful death as they had seen happen before.

CHAPTER TWO

Gloria's Bar, Chicago
1922

It had been almost fourth five years since I had been made the monster that I was but I didn't regret it as I had met my father and found out that he wasn't the type of man I wanted to get to know... Ever.
As I waited for the scotch I had ordered I tried to block out the ruckus a group of rowdy men were making in the corner. Only when the drink was placed in front of me did it become to much to bear and I stormed over tapping the man responsible on the shoulder "do you mind? Some of us here are actually trying to enjoy the music, not your rowdy laughter!-" but I stopped and abruptly became quiet as I saw the one person who had helped me through everything after finding my father to have it ripped away in an instant "-Uncle Stefan" I found myself unable to move as he looked at me with distrust and disapproval.
"Trista, I'm surprised you're out at this hour isn't your father worried?" I slapped him at his comment know his insinuation and how he wanted to make me feel as I had tried to help put a stop to him being a Ripper when we first met and I came through "He hates you for what you did to him and doesn't care what I do as long as I somehow make sure you stay alive!" I laugh at the last part then walk away as I feel a pair of eyes watching me, unknown that I had me the beholder before.
