This is a disclaimer. Don't make money off this or any other BtVS story. I only started it because on the motorcade I saw a slight red headed Secret Service female agent following POTUS and FLOTUS while walking back from the Inauguration.

While the city of Washington was under lock-down before, during and after the Presidential Inauguration no one paid any attention to a slim red head who always seemed to be within 30 feet of the Presidential party. Maybe she was an intern or something equally simple but not important. But they were wrong. Equally close by was a clean cut male with a scar running down his cheek. But he wasn't paying attention to the President. He was guarding Willow on one of his most important missions to date.

There was a confirmed HST threat to the Inauguration and while the Slayers and Watchers patrolled the perimeter and tracked down the threat; Willow provided the President and his party with a visible protection and deterrent: because who wanted to bump into "Darth Willow" while on the job. They were hoping that the threat would see Willow and while they were reacting to her that Riley could id them and either contact the Slayers or deal with it himself.

In the end it came down to a Slayer team stumbling over a illusioned open man hole cover and a hidden Terakan team waiting for an opportunity to attack the motorcade. The Slayers interceded and it was a serious let down for both the Slayer team and all the others. It seemed that they didn't make Terakans like they used to. But for the next two weeks it was like Willow had downed two large espresso's every morning (which was two more than her daily ration) because when it was all over she had a chance to meet President Obama and shake his hand.

For Riley it was all in a day's work and he was back the next day with his wife and his team going out on search and destroy missions.

Unlike Willow he didn't get a chance to meet the President.
