Ooh, ah, ooh, ooh, ah.

To die in a wine cellar of all places after a long and successful career as a Mafia hitwoman was embarrassing. To die from impalement on wine rack was simply wrong, and as strange as it may sound – it hurt.

Ooh, ah, ooh, ooh, ah.

Of all the ways that Lola Taun expected to die, this was not it. She planned to die with dignity and glory, not – oh, whom was she kidding? She did not plan to die at all; she was not sure if she planned to be immortal, but to die at the age of 23 was just wrong – even more wrong than dying impaled on a wine rack.

Ooh, ah, ooh, ooh, ah-

Are you ready to be strong?

What was that?

Are you ready to be strong?

What sort of a crazy afterlife question was that? She was dying and the judge was asking her about strength?!

Are you ready to be strong?

Wait, maybe this was an appropriate question: she was going to go through many trials in afterlife, so-

Are you ready to be strong?

Yes, I am, Lola whispered through a bloody mouth, and screamed as new pain flooded her body, pain that caused her limbs to twitch and to move, and to get off that f*cking wine rack after several minutes of agony. Once that was done with, though, the pain subsided – all of it, as the formerly mortal wounds healed and Lola fell brand new, whole and strong.

And also in a whole lot of trouble with the law. Gianni’s plan was clearly falling to pieces, and having died for him once, Lola had no intention of dying ever again. So...

Lola got up, went to her room, and quickly pulled out her fake ID passport (no proper hitman or –woman should ever live without one), even as she began to hear police car sirens in the distance. That did it, metaphorically speaking: running faster than before, Lola got out the house and was gone.

The police arrived about 15 minutes later, and found nothing – just dead and dispatched people.
