I did the research and personally could NOT find correlating information on the damage equivalent for Jaffa/Goa'uld and Halo tech. Besides as kdakmmt reminded me Janus wouldn't have gone to all of the trouble to give them the firepower if it wouldn't do anything. So just pretend that the situation works.
As for my disappearance, I'm having trouble finding a job after graduation and seem to be having an allergic reaction to the local pollen levels. Damn east coast pollen! I call it pollen poisoning because of the symptoms/side effects. I'm embarrassed to admit that I pretty much disappeared from all of my stories.
The flight They arrived aboard the Justice in time to pass around some bagged popcorn and watch as Cortana ran the now very ragged group of council assassins supplemented by a few council members the AI had taken it upon herself to kidnap through her homemade and very deadly obstacle course. Since this was about the third time this particular group had been run through the course no one died but at least three of the course runners came away with additional injuries before Xander called a halt to their live evasion training from hell.
"Cortana, I said you could run the wet works team through the ship to test the defenses and maybe shoot one or two. I didn't say you could grab more people and add them to the fun or eliminate the entire team." Xander scolded lightly, his amusement clear in his voice. "Besides the council is getting cleaned out pretty well by the British government."
"Yes, Chief. But you might want to look at what they were planning before yelling at me for kidnapping them and running them through the defense net." Cortana pointed out.
Xander sighed. "Fine. For now lock them in a storage room or something. We have a wedding for you and Joyce to plan." He waited as they were herded away by the occasional blast from the defense net lasers. He then quickly explained what had happened in Sunnydale while they were gone.
"I... see. That would explain the change in status that I observed being logged for all of you at the school and the opening of several expense accounts at various places all around Sunnydale." Cortana commented thoughtfully.
"What do you mean?" Jack asked curiously.
"The mayor essentially said that he would support your hunting hobby unless you crossed certain lines. Its no different from some of the orders the Master Chief and I have been given over the years." Cortana pointed out. "Did you remember to tell Hammond before coming up here?"
"Ah, no." Daniel admitted as SG-1 looked a bit sheepish.
"I'll send him a message." Cortana offered. "I have to tell him that we're going to go blowing up the asteroid belt any way."
"You mean you finally traced all of the changes that "present" made?" Xander asked gleefully.
"Yup. It looks like it upgraded our weapon output to just above what the SGC has recorded as that of a Ha'tak on top of my own upgrades, besides its kinda fun to destroy asteroids." Cortana told them. "I'll have a list of what I found ready for you when you get back to quarters. As for the inventory, it almost looks like the ship was just retro-fitted and fully stocked of everything, half Covenant and half UNSC equivalent equipment, before we decided to take it for a joyride."
"Really?" Xander asked curiously. "I don't think we've ever come across one that was fully stocked, much less one stocked with half UNSC gear and half Covenant gear, unless you count all of the Covenant on board all those ships we boarded. Huh, something to think about. For now, I don't know about the rest of you but I want to see some explosions." Everyone agreed and they all headed for the command deck as Cortana smoothly moved them out of orbit.
As they all headed for the command deck and its excellent view, Xander could be heard to mutter. "We really need to do something about the Mayor and the Hellmouth..."
