Part 8

“Unfortunately while I would love to celebrate one of my boys coming home, there are things I must do. Remember you have my support and love – ALWAYS.” With a loving smile, she spun in a circle and was gone. Metatron was gone as well.

Alex shook his head, “And now that we've been visited by Hurricane Mother, we,” he indicated the three champions, himself and his wife, “Need to be going. While it was very nice to see you two again, and don't forget to visit, time waits for no man or angel.” Alex stood up and walked to the sitting room door accompanied by Lucy, Buffy who was very pleased to note that the newest addition was shorter than even her, Giles who was in something of a state of even greater shock, and Willow who was seriously contemplating the Metatron's words about her status. The group walked back with Pico following silently behind.

As they neared the Gateway, they noticed that it hadn't taken nearly as long to get back. Buffy always one to notice how long things were taking brought up the subject. “Xander, its not taking as long to get there.”

“Good catch, Buff. Yeah we aren't walking as much, time/space on this plane can be variable. Besides Pico was leading us in circles to show off the palace. It's his idea of a joke.” Alex responded.

About that time they returned to the gate. As Alex activated it, Pico moved into position to go through it. “Pico, you'll need to change shape and become smaller, the other end isn't on the surface anymore. Pico grumbled. “Yes, you can only have one head, at least until we find out if the normals can see you.” Pico grumbled more, “No I don't think they have any cows that have run loose for you to catch.” Pico started shrinking and two of his heads seemed to melt into the center one. Then the entire group moved through the gate.

A/N: Just something short.
